The place lives up to the hype - Edit
Everything was pretty bomb. We had the burrata and the carrot cake pancakes as appetizers between three of us. My one friend and I each had a beyond burger (advertised as the Impossible burger in the menu). We chatted with our waiter about how awesome the food was and he told us that he “felt (our) energy” because we were eating our food so hard! I can’t wait to go back and shove that burrata in my face that hard again, since that was my favorite. Great food and experience.

Really cute place with just decent food - Edit
Stopped here mid road trip was pretty excited to try it with all the awesome reviews I saw, the location is really sweet, super cute and clean inside but the food is really nothing special!! Especially the $10 french fries, I don’t know if it was because my order was to go, but not even one seasoning on it or garlic aoli 🥵 even the ice Tea was super bland ... cookies were good tho lol

Cons: $10 fries that were so boring and soggy

Love it! - Edit
This place is owed by the same people as sticky fingers bakery - another amazing vegan spot in D.C.!
Read moreSeitan and waffles was a massive portion, two big chunks of nicely flavoured and textured seitan, and a large waffle. Very tasty!
I also took home a slice of the s’mores cake! Even the guy next to me commented on how much cake you got for the $8 tag. It’s a lot! More like a wedge than a slice. Also super tasty. Very moist (apologies) and very flavourful!
I will return to try other things on the menu like the benedict or the pancakes!
Pros: Lots of really tasty vegan options , 100% vegan!, Good atmosphere and attentive staff

Seitain & waffles, Benedict - Edit
Boyfriend went here on Saturday for brunch. Cute spot, narrow seating but we were seated right away even though it was around 12:30p. We started with the whipped buffalo cauliflower spread, and that definitely was the best thing we had! Spicy but not too much, and really flavorful.
Read moreFor entrees, I got the setain and waffles and he got the Benedict dish. The setain and waffles was good, the setain especially flavorful and crispy, and the waffle was pretty good. Wish it had a little more flavor, or maybe something in it to break it up - pecans, walnuts, etc. it’s a big dish though and could easily be split. The Benedict meal was good, but not sure worth getting again. A little heavy on the fennel and the tofu scramble wasn’t the best. (Disclaimer: we’ve been very spoiled living in Austin and have been treated to the best tofu scramble, Bouldin Creek FTW 🙌🏼). It came with potatoes and was a good sized meal however.
Overall, this place was solid but not sure anything that I feel amazed about (aside from the cauliflower dip, that was tasty!). Hope to come back and try their desserts at another time.

Pretty good! - Edit
This place was nice. I went for lunch and during the week and it’s was pretty packed, it’s kinda small already so it’s kinda felt cramped. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The food and drink I got wasn’t that great, but the portions was pretty big so I liked that. The bathroom was very nice. Might go back and give it another shot.

We come to FareWell 3-4 times each month and always leave happy. The food and the service are spectacular. The staff are consistently incredibly friendly. I love the Reuben, the burgers, the pancakes, the chilaquiles, the polenta fries, and the soups. This place is great. Enjoy!

Vegan diner food to die for - especially the seitan - Edit
Fare Well is the best vegan diner I've been to anywhere! I first stumbled across this place when I visited D.C. a couple of years ago, but now that I live in the District it's definitely a lazy weekend regular! The staff are all friendly, the coffee is good, and the food is to die for!
Read moreSome of my favorites are their seitan and waffles, the eggs florentine, and the chilaquiles. The seitan in particular is heavenly, whether on the waffles or just a side order of the fennel sausage.
They also have some really amazing sweets - but if you want even more check out their sister bakery Sticky Fingers up in Columbia Heights.
Pros: Absolutely amazing brunch food, Nice staff and overall great aesthetic
Cons: Sometimes the weekend line can be a little long

Disappointing service - Edit
The food is good but the service and seating is disorganized. They have a list that we were told to put your name on. There was no one to take names so we assumed that meant for us to write out names down. We put our names on the list but when called there were people waiting long before we arrived so we let them be seated, again no one was there to write their name down. Then the manager came and called names and skipped our name and said because he didn’t write out name on the list he wasn’t going to honor it. Then seated us anyway. This is all while others just walked in and sat down at the bar and was being served, even though they were supposed to put their names on the list. My friend has told me she has seen arguments between customers because of this system. Please fix this so I can patronize and have an enjoyable dining experience.

Vegan extravaganza - Edit
This joint is a super chic diner. With displays of glorious vegan desserts galore. They serve breakfast all day (which is always a bonus) and a great selection of fried foods, burgers (Impossible Burgers are delicious!), salads, soups and more. I brought some carnivore friends that fell in love with the food. This place soothes my soul.

Amazing breakfast tacos - Edit
I have Alpha Gal and therefore allergic to red meats, mammal byproducts, and dairy. I found this place using the Happy Cow app and was super excited. I ordered the breakfast tacos eventhough it was lunch time. OMG they were delicious!!! I also ordered the polenta fries. Super yummy but I was too full to finish them. I took a slice of VEGAN CAKE home and almost started to cry because I haven't been able to eat cake with frosting since I was diagnosed. Great find!!

Pretty good - Edit
We had dinner here and left satisfied. We got the polenta fries, the pierogis, the seitan platter, and a lemon ginger cake for dessert. Everything was delicious except for the cake, which was too dry. Service was friendly, if a little hurried. This is a 3.5 rounded up to a 4.

It was just okay - Edit
I hate to say it, but DC has a lot more flavorful vegan spots to offer. This place was quite bland to me and my cake (that I was so excited for) was a bit dry. I wish I could say I loved it more, but I’ll give it an extra star because it all vegan. I like when I can choose from the whole menu 🙃
