mixed feelings - Edit
as others have said, the desserts are fantastic! but the savory items and actual meals could use some work. nothing was bad! but i think everything could have been just a tiny bit better. i would 100% some back for desserts though if/when in the area again.

you should eat here - Edit
Fully vegan menu, with actual real food and great portions. My husband had the Reuben, which was fantastic. I got a breakfast bowl with potatoes, tofu scramble, beans, chile sauce, and more. My daughter got the Benedict Florentine, which was by far the most incredible thing out of everything we got. Will definitely eat here again. Also very good coffee.

Good for sweets - Edit
Their sweet items were excellent. My husband loved his Ruben but I wasn't very happy with my croissant sandwich. I feel like their savory items are not so great and could use some more love.

Enjoyed our shake and pierogies, but the pancakes were a little dense eventhough they looked fluffy.

Incredible food and vibe - Edit
Don’t let the name fool you, this place hardly serves your typical diner fare. They have delicious homemade cheeses and pastas to rival any fancy vegan restaurant, but the portions are on the smaller size. I tried the cheesy mac and the carrot-infused pesto pasta with a couple of croissants to go for the breakfast the next morning.

I had the Florentine Benedict, which was good and satisfying but not quite excellent. If I'm in DC again, I'll happily go back.

Great Diner Style dishes. - Edit
The options were impressive, and I was so hungry I ordered two breakfasts and could only eat one. (Brought the rest home for the road trip) the food came out super quick, but was weirdly almost cold at the same time, so I gave it a 4 out of 5. But other than that it would be 5 stars. Would recommend.

Good but a little disappointed - Edit
I'm a little disappointed with the Sticky Fingers Diner. I used to go to the bakery years ago when they were a tiny little spot with lots of sweets, chili dogs, and little vegan breakfast sandwiches in the refrigerated section. It was always so amazing. So going to the diner I expected something similar. I ordered the beyond croissant. It was not great. The croissant itself was not soft but instead was crunchy like fried filo dough and was also EXTREMELY oily. The content of the sandwich itself was also on the flavorless side. If I was rating this place based on this alone I would probably give it a 2.5 stars, but I am giving 4 stars because we also got several cookies to share which were all really yummy.

Delicious brunch! - Edit
We came for Sunday brunch, and it was so good! Everything we had was excellent. Unfortunate that everything except making the food is done yourself, from ordering to getting to-go boxes. If you need to update or add on to your order, you have to start a whole new transaction. The prices shown on their ordering platform were also different than the prices shown on the QR code menu, so be wary of that. The food was fantastic though, and worth the hoops jumped through for a special meal.

Delicious 100% plant based breakfast - Edit
We loved everything we tried. The baked goods were outstanding. We tried the sticky bun, the chocolate croissant, and the plain croissant. The seitan waffles were amazing and such a huge portion. It really tasted like fried chicken. The beyond handcake used pancakes as the sandwich bread. The “egg” was flat like an omelette and made out of tofu. The French toast sticks were super indulgent and I would recommend that you share this as it comes with four French toast sticks that are deep fried so best not to eat them all yourself! The cream cheese frosting and cinnamon butter were really yummy with it.
Read morePros: Lots of options, Incredible baked goods , Easy counter ordering
Cons: The booths were uncomfortable to sit in, no coffee refills - opt for the 32 oz carafe

Mad at them - Edit
The food is pretty good. The desserts are really good. I tried this place because my old boss got me a gift card for here when I moved to DC but two months later and they said they still can’t use any gift cards but they are still selling them online. It’s close to me so I’ll go back but I’m a bit frustrated with the service. I get it somethings broken but can you stop selling them so people aren’t just wasting money

Expected more - Edit
I was really exited to visit this place with good reviews, but left a bit disappointed. Ordered the Italian hero, the bread was cold and it was a bit stale. The lettuce was very damp and made the sandwich soggy. Filling was okay, but overall it wasn’t a good sandwich. I think if it was made with sourdough or ciabatta bread it would be much better!

Top 5 in the World - Edit
I've been scouring the world for vegan delicacies. Sticky Fingers is a top 5 vegan restaurant. They offer mouthwatering southern-style fried chicken, which is the best in the world. It offers eggs-benedict--the only vegan version I have ever had/found. The desserts are worth it. Loved the outdoor seating. friendly staff. Must visit if you're in D.C.
