Food Market Sunday

This market is the place where the foodies of Stellenbosch and surroundings spend their Sundays.

The market is worth a visit. It emphasizes slow food, local food production and organic food as well as ethical supply chains. Could emphasize these aspects much more, though. You can browse for veggie foods, eat here or buy food and craft items.

Have to mention that it is already a longer while ago that we went there, so you have to check how it is now. -Vegan dishes and snacks were not abundant, but I found some good options. E.g. some vegetable curry roti and the Jamu stand, which had dishes with couscous and roasted vegetables. Colourful and tasty! Freshly made juices and iced tea go well with it. The Jamu stand had a chalk board that said vegetarian and vegan on it, so it was easy to find.

For other stands I think the best strategy is to keep your eyes open, ask around and have some chats about veggie options and plant based food in general. -Fits the theme of the market.
