Good vegan options - Edit
Steel City is a cool cafe/small restaurant that offers some good vegan options. They do live music at times and the overall vibe is cool. I’ve had some of their vegan options over the years and they’ve always been good. This visit I just had a blueberry scone that was pretty yummy!

Excellent coffee and lattes - Edit
Went to Steel City today and got a Oat Milk Lavendar Matcha Latte. Which was amazing and tasted slightly like Froot Loops. I ordered the Vegan Tofu scramble Burrito and the only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars instead or 4 is because the potatoes weren't cooked all the way in the burrito.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Vegan pastries, Amazing coffee and teas
Cons: Kind of expensive

Just Okay - Edit
If I was starting my vegan experience at this place I would of given up at the start. I’m going to break this down into 4 categories.
Read more1) Baked goods are at best a 2/5. They seemed stale and just full of sugar and lacked flavor.
2) Coffee is a 4/5. They used some great beans and had 3 milk options for vegans. I loved the huge “Friends”-style mugs and the coffee was hot and stayed hot. I ordered a cappuccino. It was good but did lack the proper milk, foam, and espresso ratio. But that is me being super critical based off of a coffee shop in Frederick, Md that just ROCKS vegan coffee products!
3) Hot food was 3/5. They lacked options and creativity. I had the breakfast burrito and was disappointed. It’s not bad so don’t get me wrong it just was over priced for what I got and all I tasted was the turmeric.
4) Atmosphere/ service is 3/5. Chairs were uncomfortable and it was hard to move around. I know they play music Friday and Saturday nights which would probably be great to see. I was going to rank it a 2/5 because there were some kids running around playing hide a seek using me as a hiding spot. I’m sorry but I hadn’t had my coffee yet so that really didn’t sit well with me. I wish I didn’t have to be the one to tell the kids to stop and that an employee would of said something. Since it appeared the kids had been playing for some time. Also, this was 10 am at the latest.
Cons: Expensive for what you get, Not a lot of options, Poor setup

I love this place!! - Edit
The vegan options are delicious!! Happy Cow wouldn’t let me give them 5 stars because they don’t have a 100% vegan menu, but the vegan items deserve 5 stars!! Best local spot to grab breakfast/brunch and a latte!
