Nice traditional pasta dishes made vegan

We had the one vegan appetizer which was a thick bean purée with sun-dried tomatoes and croutons which was nice, and then had 2 pasta dishes for mains which were made vegan by removing the anchovies. Both were fine but could have done with a bit more flavour - it was still nice to try traditional pasta dishes though. We loved being brought warm traditional Matera bread and olive oil to accompany our meal. Sadly they don't seem to be doing pizza at the moment, and when we asked about veganizing the huge appetizers plates, they said this wasn't possible.

Good restaurant in the picturescque core of Matera

Being a traditional restaurant, I was worried about the lack of vegan options. However, I had a great dinner: the typical dish "fave e cicorie" and "Scialatielli with pistachio cream and truffle".

Pros: Amazing dishes

Cons: Expensive

Good vegan options and great service

Staff is so nice and accomodating. We told them we were vegan and they cooked for us it's of appetizers like fave and cicoria , quinoa, saladas ,bruschetta and other things . Pasta was great and also pizza . A good place to eat .
