Not quite worth the price - Edit
We had as a starter the puffed pumpkin, which was an innovative dish but rather bitter. The cream cheese didn't live up to its name. The accompanying nuts and dates were tasty. Our main dishes were better with gado gado and mushroom risotto. The gado gado had various nice tastes. The risotto was a bit bland and would improve with some punch. As dessert we chose the cheesecake. On the dinner menu, the cheesecake comes with coconut and mango ice. The ice is delicious and the cake is fine too, but not so much a cheesecake. Overall good food but nothing extraordinary. Especially for the prices we expected more.

Read moreI had lunch in the cozy garden at the back of the restaurant. Choose the flatbread with mushrooms. The bread was a bit tough and the mix of mushrooms and veggies was ok but not great.
The salads and falafel I saw at other tables looked better.

Overal oké, maar had hogere verwachtingen.
Read moreVan de hoofdgerechten vond ik de ravioli het lekkerst. De oesterzwam was vrij saai en de lions mane zurig. Een steak van seitan zou smakelijker zijn.
De zoete aardappel friet is heerlijk!
De choco mouse was aan de bittere kant. De citrus tartelette was prima, maar niet waanzinnig.

De naam, Stadslokaal Burgerzaken, deed anders vermoeden dus wij liepen verbaasd de hal en dito eetzaaltje in. Het geheel straalt één en al luxe uit. De prijzen zijn hier enigszins mee in lijn. Goedkoop is het dus niet, maar echt duur is het ook niet te noemen.
Read moreHet eten was goed en smakelijk, de vegan burger zelfs memorabel. Verder was de bediening erg vriendelijk. Het eten werd zelfs liefdevol door de kok aan onze tafel gebracht. Hoe kan ik anders dan hiervoor vijf sterren te geven?
