Vegetarian cafe serving local and international dishes including salads, stir fried tofu and vegetables, vegetable tempura and desserts. Has house baked bread and cakes. The cafe is used as a training centre for youth from across Myanmar who want to start social enterprises of their own. Cool, chilled out vibe with a garden. All vegetarian and mostly vegan - please check. Previously located at 85 Thidar St. Open Tue-Sun 9:00am-4:00pm. Closed Mon.

Nice cafe with a good cause - Edit
Stopped in here on our last morning in Kalaw. Was warmly greeted by the owner, Jim. The cappuccino, banana smoothie and fresh bread I had were all excellent. Very friendly place. Please go here for great food and where Jim gives back to the community.

Lovely little cafe - Edit
Cozy place. All vegetarian with some vegan options. Menu clearly labelled with vegan items or items that can be made vegan. Soy milk coffee was a nice surprise, since this has been a difficult find in Myanmar! Food was nice, a couple of vegan desserts available were a bonus. I tried the tomato salad, which came with homemade, toasted bread. The carrot cake was sweet but not the best I've had, would maybe try the banana dessert next time... Service from the kitchen was slow, but this was to be expected in a place where they are training people. Lso compounded by power cuts. Front of house staff were lovely and we were happy to wait there, since it had such a nice atmosphere.

NEW LOCATION - Edit
Now at 34 Station Road! Just had a wander around this place it looks great (sadly shut on Mondays so I couldn't eat!) Got a great vibe though - all veggies and vegans should go if in Kalaw :-)

Great! - Edit
They have a new location, it's not the green house in the picture anymore. Actual address 33 Station Street. Clearly marked vegan options. Wondeful service, perfect place to chill.

So lovely! - Edit
So glad we found this place! It's set in a really nice quiet location, a perfect place to relax! The staff are so friendly, and there is an area where you can buy homemade toiletries (some products have beeswax). The food was so tasty! We had the tofu scramble with homemade bread!

Perfect food, lovely staff! - Edit
so many options-almost all the menu is vegan. I had scrumbled tofu and burmese garden salad. Every dish was fresh and really good. For dessert we ate a perfect vegan pancake, It was also my birthday and the staff sang to me. Perfect!

Lovely place for food & yoga and supporting society community in Kalaw - Edit
One of reasons I decide to extend my stay in kalaw, that was Sprouting seeds cafe! Not fresh and organic food only, they also offer cooking and yoga class. And they organize teaching yoga class for healing girls with a lot of traumas. At this moment they were busy with that program, they couldn’t offer cooking class. I don’t blame them for that. Because I do support their work for the community. I have had homemade breads with guacamole, French toast with fruits, penne pasta with homemade breads and smoothies. They are very fresh and delicious. When my hostel doesn’t offer good breakfast for vegans, I asked for homemade bread and peanut butter. So I can eat decent breakfast before my 3 days trekking
