Loved the curry but ... - Edit
The 2 curries with rice and roti were really yummy but there it stopped . When the 2 of us walked in we were told off for not booking a table and after a lot of sighing told to sit near the entrance . During our meal there were a lot of people hanging around our table , waiting for their take away . The waiter literally threw the dished at our elbows . The staff seem to be fed up and so unfriendly .

Good Grub in Halls Gap - Edit
Pleasantly surprised by this Indian restaurant in Halls Gap. Clearly marked vegan options, tasty, big serves and reasonably priced for a tourist town. Cute eclectic decor and nice lake view. Our food was served by a cute robot which honestly made my day!

What you read is what you get. Good, hearty and knowledgable staff. - Edit
Staff very knowledgable with veganism and options clearly marked on menu. Can be quite hot/spicy so definitely get the mildest if you need. I live in town and this is always a great dinner or takeaway option. Always comfortable with ordering that there will be no surprises.

Good option in Hall's Gap - Edit
Had a very nice lunch here. Price was decent given it's a touristy area - $68 for two generously sized curries, rice and two beers. Service was quick and friendly, and the curries were flavourful and perfectly spicy. Menu clearly marks which dishes can be made vegan. A robot server brought food to our table which was a fun novelty.

Great food, lots of vegan options - Edit
Location and aesthetics are stellar, looks very nice but not overly fancy that you'd feel out of place. Food was excellent, ordered the aloo tikki, tangy cauli ( kinda like manchurian), sag tofu ( palak paneer), and soya chaap curry ( mixed vegie with fake meat). It has been a long time since I've had a good sag curry, and everything was honestly really on point. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to vegan preferences, and can see why it's so highly reviewed. Must go if in Halls Gap

Enjoyable meal - Edit
A tad overpriced when you dine in, but overall the meals were very nice. Menu clearly outlines which meals can be vegan with letters “VOD” (vegan on demand).

Tasty vegan options but quite pricey - Edit
Although vegan dishes are not specifically marked on the menu, staff are knowledgeable about what is vegan. All our food was tasty (vegetable curry and a dhal with roti). Service was pretty quick even though the restaurant was busy. It is quite expensive, but I guess that’s to be expected since there aren’t heaps of options for eating out and it’s in a very touristy area.

Amazing spicy food - Edit
Had a lovely vegetable curry here. Staff are knowledgeable about veganism and helpful when ordering. You can choose your spiciness but medium was rather spicy so beware. Overall great place and veggie options easily made vegan. Portions are big too a really fill you up.

Tasty take-away - Edit
We got take-away during our holiday stay in Halls Gap. The menu didn't have vegan options labelled, but the staff were happy to point out which we could eat. (There were 3 or 4 curries and a couple of starters, plus some of the breads).
Read moreThe onion bhaji was interesting - and huge! The samosas were really tasty. I've forgotten which curries we had, but they were all nice. We could also specify how spicy we wanted each to be.
The place seemed very busy in the evenings, with two specified serving times (something like 5-7pm and 7-9pm), so if you're going for dinner, be sure to book - it was very busy when we popped in during school holidays.
Pros: Really good samosas
Cons: Gets very busy - be sure to book for dinner

Tasty vegan options! - Edit
We arrived at the restaurant just 20 min before closing time but there was no problem to have dinner at this hour. The staff was very polite and they knew perfectly what dishes were vegan although it wasn't marked in the menu, there was only a vegetarian section. There were 4 vegan main meals, we chose mushrooms green peas and potatoes with spinach, both very tasty.
