Lovely food and staff

Food is delicious and cheap. Family run with sweet boy taking orders and serving food. Very friendly people. Small space with 4 or so tables. Would definitely recommend!

Super nice, authentic veggie & vegan food

We spent several lunches at Spice Nepal and without exception each and every dish was at least very good, some just amazing. Most of the dishes are even only 100-150nprs. Try the veggie roll!!

Local fresh food

Small family business on a side street. Food is freshly made and very tasty, the prices are ridiculously cheap for the portions. The owners are very sweet. Go there if you want some hearty local food.

Cheap and good

Good cheap set lunches - takhari (soupy dhal with chickpeas and mung beans) with roti, samosa, rice or paratha for a good price.

Pros: Cheap , Quick , Lovely friendly staff

Cons: Small, 5 tables , Could be cleaner.

Great food

Really enjoyed the food here. Super cheap and tasty. Small simple place with a few curries to choose from and some street food style choices. All vegetarian and owner happy to make vegan

Truly one of my favorite restaurants in Nepal

The super nice family that runs this small place know what they can make you Vegan (almost every dish). Mostly home food is the best in Nepal for me and the many restaurants are just OK at best. Spice Nepal rises well above the rest with clean healthy spot on Nepali flavors delivered with pride. Love this place. Great value.

Pros: Simply delicious , Can and will make everything as vegan., Family run

Great food, price, service.

I ate here 4 days in a row. Simple nepali/indian menu. Great prices, large portion sizes, and delicious food. Specify no ghee, no milk and the owners understand - they use veg oil instead. I recommend the mix veg curry with roti, and the paratha.

Best in Pokhara

Very kind staff and the food is awesome. No gimmick, just good food. The prices are ridiculously low. I went into the low season so it wasn’t full but still many people. It’s must if you are not into the fancy.

Pros: Great food, Low price

Best value for money

I really love this place. It's really cheap, basic, and delicious. You can walk away with a full stomach for 120r. They also give you free water with the meal.

I tried the paratha set, samosa set, and the veg roll. The paratha was really good and filling. You get a curry, dipping sauce, and curd with the set (140r). The samosas are really good too!

The veg roll was a bit weird for me. The roti which it was rolled in was delicious, but the filling was random. Nice veggies and Indian spices, but also banana, which made it a bit weird. It wasn't bad though, just something to get used to.

Traditional food, clean, delicious & cheap!

I recommend this place if you want authentic food made from fresh ingredients, generous portions, at really affordable prices!
We are really happy that we found this place!
Staff have positive vibe, and can make vegan most of the dishes.

Pros: Traditional food (lot of vegan options) , Delicious big portions, Inexpensive

Cons: A bit outside of the center but worth it!

Fresh and tasteful food

The food is very tasteful and freshly made with fresh herbs. I had the paneer butter masala and it was a pleasure to eat it. Free water! The menu has only a good choice of meals instead of a list of everything. The kitchen is perfect clean, you can just look into it from the terrace.

Pros: Tasteful, Cheap

Very frustrated

I came to this little restaurant after seeing the reviews here bu once there I waited for sometime, the person who I believe be the owner didn’t even come to say hello. He was there sitting all the time going to the kitchen and back but no action. I left the place without trying anything not even a “Namaste”.

Pros: Seems to be very cheap

Cons: No attention

Delicious!!!!

Best nepali food i tried!!!!
I tried the veg kofta, the veggie wrap and the bread filled with potato(forgot what these items are called on the menu)
They dont speak english very well but can tell you which food comes with no butter, milk etc or they just adjust if you ask:)
So tasty and really cheap!!!! Went there as often as i could!

Great wrap

I basically got a pancake wrapped around veggies and tofu and it blew my mind. Before that I ordered a noodle soup and it was the best noodle soup I have yet had. Out of this world is a great description, you might not believe it until the food in front of you, because the building looks modest. Stil top Pokhara food for sure.

Pros: Cheap and haggle free prices, Great food, delicious and healthy, Cleanness to a very happy degree

Cons: Take away possible with most food

Simple veg restaurant but tastiest food

Undoubtedly the tastiest yet the least expensive pure vegetarian restaurant in Pokhara close to lakeside on cross section of Pahari Marg. Veg kofta was one of the best me and my wife have ever had. Masala tea was also out of the world. A very simple unassuming Nepali family runs this small cute 4 table restaurant on the road side. Food not to be missed. Locals and tourists who know return every time.

Pros: Hygienic and fresh , Pure vegetarian, Homely, simple, tasty but very inexpensive.

Cons: None
