Amazing location, fabulous rustic venue. - Edit
Venue and location are my idea of heaven! Rustic sea grass clad venue with sand underfoot where you can come straight off each without worry about your appearance. Understated beach, a bit off the beaten track which adds to appeal. Limited vegan options. I had simple Vatsa Pasta, which was linguini with cherry tomatoes in a garlicky olive oil dressing. Very tasty.

We had our wedding anniversary at this beautiful restaurant. It is located right on the beach at Vatsa Bay. There a several vegetarian options on the menu. The staff were very accommodating and offered to make vegan versions for us. We particularly liked the fried zucchini and the yellow split pea dip.

Lots to choose from, including fava, Horta (boiled wild greens with oil and vinegar), fried courgettes, black eyed beans with tomatoes onion and parsley, fried aubergine, fried courgettes flowers, bbq oyster mushrooms in balsamic vinegar with olive oil, skordalia (mash potato with olive oil and garlic) and so much more!!
Spiros has now handed the reins over to his daughter and the recent facelift had given the place a fresh new look.
Lots of friendly beach cats and kittens to keep you company and of course Spiro’s beautiful old doggie.
This unique sea front, Sandy floor and rustic decor taverna is a must see for anyone to experience Kefalonian friendliness, great food and beautiful breathtaking scenery ! As many locals as non locals choose to eat here.

Revisited September 2021 - The beans and bbq mushroom are no longer on the menu. The rest of the food was well below par as well. And they no longer sell house wine by the litre, it’s €4 a glass now.
If your in the area give it a try please don’t drive a long distance expecting really good food.

Pros: Plenty choice, Splendid setting
Cons: Keep a close eye on the road signs for directions , €4 for a glass of wine. No house wine by the jug
