Wonderful Experience

I returned for the latest set menu and it didn’t disappoint. This multi-course dinner sets the bar for vegan cuisine in Hong Kong. Ambience and service still best in class as well. Just remember you must reserve this place in advance, and as importantly, show up hungry.

Creative and delicious

It’s so exciting to see a vegan fine dining option. And it did not disappoint! The flavors were excellent with really unique and inventive dishes. We even got an extra dish that wasn’t on the menu! They definitely know what they’re doing. Everything was excellent. My only complaint was that the chairs got to be quite uncomfortable after sitting in them for about an hour (dinner is 2.5-3hrs).

Pros: Flavorful , Beautiful presentation , Great offerings of beverages (non alc & alc)

Cons: Uncomfortable seating for long periods

Love and respect the innovation

But I wouldn’t go back at that price. It was for a special occasion and I think We just had bad luck with the menu. Such a shame as I know this place is amazing in principle and spirit!! Such beautiful plant based innovation, presentation and execution but just wasn’t worth it I’m afraid.

Still, happy To supported the business 100%

Three things were done to perfection: the fried mushrooms the DESSERT and the butter. #Veganuary

Pros: Beautiful ideas and presentation , Off the beaten track so refreshing , Best began butter ever eaten

「種何因,得何果🌱」

Sow Vegan | 觀塘

其實知道Sow Vegan好耐,不過一直無試過嘅原因我諗都唔使多講🤣🤣🤣,係窮呀‼️今次都真係鼓起哂勇氣先夠膽俾錢去食💸,等去食嗰幾日都少少膽顫心驚,好彩食完我其實都幾滿意🤤。抵唔抵食就一定唔係要諗嘅嘢㗎喇,佢嘅賣點係vegan fine dinning🌱,其實我🍌同肉女🍖都無食過形式上嘅fine dining。

佢哋嘅菜式精緻有心思,而且純天然食材🌱,令人更加讚歎佢哋嘅功夫,小蕉食得好過癮,好耐無試過會一路食一路期待下一道菜式,爽‼️

// “Caviar” & Tomato tart //

「魚子醬」係用昆布醬整成,好似仲有用到奇亞籽𠻹,放喺一塊黑色嘅酥餅上面,食落好有鮮味🤯,我哋兩個又係未食過真正嘅魚子醬🐟,呢個入口有種好海好鮮嘅味,小蕉未食過真嘅話呢個好似真噉d(^_^o)。底嘅酥皮酥脆,而且幾香,夾埋一齊係新奇又討好嘅體驗🥰。

另一個係用漬蕃茄仔做餡嘅撻🌮,撻殼好脆、香,蕃茄仔味道好酸🍅,不過完全唔難受,係一種好突岀但又唔會太刺激嘅酸味,開胃有趣嘅前菜d(^_^o)。

麵包組合入面有芝士蕃茄同原味兩種酸種麵包同兩條香料餅乾條🥖,再配黑松露醬同用椰子油整嘅純素牛油🧈。

佢哋嘅酸種麵包口感微韌帶有弱酸味🍞,芝士蕃茄嗰款除咗見到香料同蕃茄碎🍅,亦有一粒粒應該係「芝士」嘅淡白色微彈口感物體,「芝士」味道係酸酸地唔難食^_^🧀,香料同蕃茄就做返自己🪴,幾香,不過我個人會想蕃茄味重多少少,個人喜好~原味嘅話就少啲酸味,更加食得到麵包本身嘅淡酸味同麥味🌾。

黑松露醬好好食,我哋兩個一致讚同d(^_^o),香松露味配搭濃菇味同一粒粒嘅蘑菇彈彈口感🍄,醬本身唔會太杰太黏口,配包係將個包帶上另一個水平‼️至於純素牛油🧈,佢嘅質感偏硬,比較難搽上麵包度,而且我哋知道係用椰子油整就當然係興趣大減(˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵),食落亦都不負眾望係椰子味嘅d(^_^o)🥥,所以都冇食佢咁濟😘。

不過我哋都覺得應該要有湯,因為除咗就噉食包搽醬有啲dry之外,一餐完整dinner無返個湯硬係好似差噉啲嘢🥲,唔夠完美。

// Tofu Salad //

黑芝麻豆腐配黑加侖子醬同紅菜頭芝士泡泡伴枝豆,名好長,食好快。

黑芝麻豆腐有顆粒質感,黑芝麻味非常濃;黑加侖子醬酸酸甜甜,果香味;紅菜頭芝士泡泡酸味突岀,泡沫質感比較薄🧽,幾有趣;仲有啲有烤過嘅枝豆,佢哋幾香,有種烤嘅味,整體夾埋哂一齊酸酸甜甜清新,係一個沙律嘅感覺🥗。不過肉女覺得其他味道一齊食嘅時候會比黑芝麻掩蓋,同埋唔算好夾。

// Savoury danish pancake //

所謂「丹麥薄餅」,其實係一種直譯叫蘋果片、丹麥語叫「Æbleskiver」嘅點心🥞,我哋兩個對佢都無認識,純粹係食完上網揾下資料同大家分享下(˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)。上網睇原本嘅版本佢哋係會用一啲好似整章魚燒噉嘅pan煎炸用麵粉、蛋、奶、糖整成嘅粉糰🍡,再配糖或者果醬食用🍯。

而呢度嘅版本,個「pancake」表皮炸得微脆,入面嘅口感就係軟綿輕盈☁️,既有炸物嘅香味,亦有麵糰嘅甜味(˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵),而且唔係太厚,薄薄一層,我哋兩個一致同意個餅就噉食都正d(^_^o)。

個餅嘅中間仲有佢哋自家製嘅發酵辣醬,質感係類似蓉嘅物體,一粒粒,軟綿綿,小蕉好中意呢個辣醬,唔係因為佢係辣醬🌶🤣,而係因為佢真係好香😋,隔住個餅都已經聞到,好吸引,加埋微微辣味d(^_^o)。

餅嘅上面仲有芒果菠蘿醬同埋茗荷(即係蘘荷,係一種日本🇯🇵嘅薑),呢兩種配件主要都係平衡返炸嘢嘅油膩感,酸香清爽🎐。

不過炸得比較油膩,食完會見到碟上面有油剩,而且我哋覺得外層好似唔係太夠脆,好似可以再脆啲。

// Zucchini //

一嚿翠玉瓜,上面用熱情果白芝麻醬調味🥋,再加啲蕎麥粒粒去燒烤,簡單不過掌握得唔錯,食完有驚喜^_^。

翠玉瓜好多汁🥒,一切落去啲汁流晒出嚟💦,外面有烤嘅香,入面有瓜嘅水潤;
醬汁鹹香帶果甜🍌,惹味開胃,配合和諧,加埋燒過嘅蕎麥粒脆身,整體口感味道都豐富有層次,小蕉覺得好好食(˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)。

// Handmade agnolotti //

嚟到main,係一個pasta配蕃茄咖喱同柚子沙律。咖喱味道唔錯,香帶少少酸,柚子沙律有啲蔬果絲(我估係青瓜?🥒),清爽新鮮有柚子香👍🏻。

如個名所講,pasta係俗稱「意大利雲吞」嗰款,四方形細細粒,包住燒烤醬大樹菠蘿餡。
本身其實聽到呢個組合有少少不安,驚會唔會好奇怪,不過食完就發現反而係有驚喜地好食😋。

燒烤醬加大樹菠蘿味道係少少果酸味同燒烤醬嘅惹味🍖,唔會太濃,我會形容佢係恰到好處,淡淡地唔會掩蓋晒其他嘢嘅味又可以令你感覺到佢嘅存在,亦係個雲吞主要嘅味道來源🍍,至於口感方面因為係類似蓉嘅嘢同埋份量好少,無乜特別口感(¯﹃¯);意粉皮食落微彈舒服(˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)。

呢個菜式對我嚟講幾新奇有趣,各個部件嘅配搭舒服而且互有加乘☺️。

// Lemon tea Aiyu //

上menu嘅甜品之前上咗呢個off menu嘅甜品,係一個檸檬茶雪葩配愛玉(˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)。

雪葩係有少少黏嘅軟滑質感,茶味幾濃,配埋淡淡檸檬味,有幾分似澀得起嘅檸檬茶味,細細球食少少過下癮啱啱好😇。

愛玉口感幾彈幾Q,我而家先知原來真正嘅愛玉係由一種叫愛玉嘅生果加工岀嚟,不過我哋應該都未食過真嘅🤣,呢個係唔係我都唔知,純粹開心分享下d(^_^o)。

仲有個開心果蛋糕配無花果葉雪葩同雪球曲奇同一口蛋糕,不過唔夠字數了,就此別過~

So Fine

Love the creativity and the friendly staff at sow vegan! A good place to take your non-vegan buddies to experience what fine-dining looks like for vegans nowadays!

The best vegan experience in HK for me

I have been there 3 times now and each time the menu has been different. Exquisite every time! Think vegan fine dining but great value for money in my opinion as it’s an 8 course tasting menu for 630hkd per person.

I think it’s unique and I will continue coming here for an excellent and creative culinary experience!

Ps they same owners also have a great vegan bakery in SSP - Ovule bakery! The best cinnamon bun in town (amongst lots of other things!)!

Top notch experience

The dinner was incredible. Especially the lion’s mane mushrooms skewer— I’ve had many lions mane dishes in the past and it’s long been one of my favorite meat subs but this dish was absolutely INSANE!!! We later learnt that they used fresh mushrooms rather than the regular dry kind.

The exquisite flavours of private dining without the intimidation. Staff and atmosphere is extremely down to earth. Love this place, a lot. 10 stars, if I could.

Amazing! Can't recommend this place highly enough.

This place is a private dining concept, with only 3-4 tables and one sitting per evening. The 8-course menu covers a huge range of ingredients that were all prepared immaculately, using techniques and flavour combinations I've never come across before, and everything tasted phenomenal. The vegan cheese (burrata) was out of this world. Service was perfect. Free corkage is a bonus too!

Vegan fine dining - try this on a special occasion!!

This is a private kitchen, hidden away in an industrial building in Kwun Tong. You need to book in advance. I came here in May 2019 with my husband for a special occasion, and we had a lovely romantic dinner. We chose the four course menu for HKD 390 per person and brought our own bottle of wine (no corkage charged). I was so happy to be able to experience this kind of fine dining, 100% vegan, in Hong Kong!

1) We began with a a homemade sourdough bread, truffle mushroom dip and homemade vegan coconut based butter - super delicious in all aspects; nice hot bread; i wanted to finish the butter it was so good
2) Next was a beetroot consomme (broth) with jicama dumplings - so many nice textures, so unique
3) Our main course was homemade garganelli pasta with saffron yuzu soy emulsion and basil sunflower seed pesto - delicately flavoured, so tasty!
4) Vegan trio of desserts featuring a pandan vegan macaroon, mango elderflower agar, and a coconut vegan egg tart - so beautiful!

Really recommend to try this place :)
