This is my new favourite restaurant in Edinburgh. We tried their pizza and pasta and both were equally amazing. Absolutely delicious. It's a lovely atmosphere and the staff is attentive and very welcoming. Will def. be back.

Italian served vegan - Edit
We both had the aubergine dish for main course for a new job celebration. It was nice to have so many simple options in an Italian restaurant as some form of cheese can often be in most, leaving something tomato-based. We didn’t feel the meal or setting lived up to the high praise in the reviews unfortunately. The desserts were enjoyable but did not standout as anything special.

Pride Without Prejudice - Edit
An absolutely scintillating unpretentious establishment serving delicious authentic Italian food in intimate surroundings. We shared some oven baked marinated friarelli peppers and a bruschetta al pomodoro to start followed by penne all’arrabbiata and penne alla vodka main courses. Absolute perfezione!!

Good Italian variety - Edit
Cute place with options for everyone. The spaghetti alla Campagnola was light with fresh flavors. The gnocchi Gorgonzola, Radicchio e Noci was very rich and almost scarily like a true Gorgonzola. Tiramisu was delicious!

Fantastic vegan Italian - Edit
Vegan traditional Italian is hard to find but this is one of the best I've ever had. They have vegan versions of so many Italian classics. My calzones was perfect and my partner's gnocchi was also really great. The food is heavy but that's to be expected. Prices are not super cheap but reasonable. Dog friendly. Friendly staff. I think the interior design could be improved a bit, but that's a minor quibble. Good wines and cocktails, but be warned that they check ID even for people in their 30s!

Great, as always - Edit
Was going to go for 4 starts as they’d run out of chips - but as a result we had space for their fab puddings for the first time!

Vegan mitten in Edinburgh - Edit
Man muss nicht fragen, was es für vegane Optionen gibt, weil alles vegan ist. 🙏🏻 Bedienung absolut freundlich, nettes Ambiente. Lokal sehr klein, dafür hat es eine familiäre Atmosphäre. 😊

Do not miss this!! - Edit
Possibly the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. Absolutely delicious food and clearly very high quality fresh ingredients. Often people make Italian food far too rich - adding too much cream, butter, cheese, etc. But this was perfect. Also probably the most extensive menu of any fully vegan restaurant that I’ve seen. And it’s family owned. What more can you ask for!

Great pasta - Edit
I was very excited to get vegan quattro formaggi pasta here since the vegan option at most Italian places is just tomato sauce pasta. The pizza and tiramisu were also good

Enjoyed it but didn't love it! - Edit
As someone else said, maybe my expectations were too high for to the hype! The food was enjoyable but it didn't blow me away. Me and my friend both had pasta dishes and they were tasty, with the rocket salad to share, which was plentiful. The desserts were actually really good, better than the mains in my opinion, the cheesecake was delicious. The place is quite small and the service was professional but not overly warm compared to other places we ate at over the weekend. All in all, would come back but wasn't blown away.

If you love Italian food and want it to be 100% vegan, Sora Lella is your place to go!
Read moreVery small restaurant (who does not like it cramped, may not feel so comfortable) - with soooo delicious Italian food. Especially the white pizza is appealing.
We had the Bruschetta Gorgonzola, Gnocchi Salsiccia e Crema Tartufata, Pizza Carbonara + Penne Quattro Formaggi e Funghi.
Very yummy!
I definitely recommend to book a table in advance!
Sora Lella's owner Maddalena Pezone was so friendly, it just made me smile :)

So delicious! Consider getting a reservation - Edit
The pasta we ate was all awesome. So well-made and delicious.
Read moreIt’s a small space, and it seems it can get all booked up for dinner, even on weekdays. So consider a reservation, especially if you’re dining with more than two. But if you’re going between lunch and dinner, especially with two people, you probably don’t need one.

Good pizza & pasta - Edit
We enjoyed the carbonara pizza and the Zozzona Pasta, both tasted great. The waiter was really helpful and explained us differences between the dishes and organised us a table although we hadn't booked. We also had the ice cream with baileys dessert. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cosy, we liked it there.
