Diamond in the Rough - Edit
I will admit that this is my second time going since I've been in Gulfport and I love it! The baba ganoush, hummus, the dolmades, and the falafel sandwich is amazing, minus the tahini mayo. I added baba ganoush and hummus to my sandwich and it was perfect! If you love Kalamata olives, I highly recommend you add some on top your appetizers for an enhanced flavor profile; a little lemon won't hurt. I opted out of tzatziki and use tahini as the dolmade dip. Although not entirely vegan, this is a diamond in the rough. The service is great and I'll be back next time I come to Gulfport!

Vegan options - Edit
The staff is very friendly and well informed. I told the watress I was vegan and she made sure I had vegan options. The rice is cooked in chicken broth so I opted for the couscous. I did not care for the hummus or baba ganoush... but the rest of my food was yummy... the tahini has a mayo base... so I got hot sauce. The salad was covered in honey mustard so I did not eat it... but I'm sure they have other dressings. The soup was really good.

Awesome Vegan Offerings! - Edit
I will start with the delicious food . The freshly made Egyptian Koshari (it was made gluten free for me) and salad with sumac was perfection. Appetizers of falafel with hot sauce and roasted red pepper and walnut hummus were so yummy. The owner Ed and Chef Selene took wonderful care to make sure I enjoyed my meal. They offer food for everyone's diet needs including many, many vegan and dedicated (work area is completely cleaned to prevent cross contamination) gluten free selections. Just awesome! One of my favorites now and will be worth the hour drive . I highly recommend Sophi's Mediterranean Cafe and Market! Wonderful people and delicious food!
