Take-out
Korean
Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. Historic mungbean pancake place in Gwangjang market. Has vegan mungbean pancakes and rice wine. Specify no kimchi as this contains fish sauce. Walk to the end of the market to find the food stalls. NOTE: Pancakes are reported to be cooked in the same oil and using the same utensils as meat dishes, please confirm and let HappyCow know. Open Mon-Sun 9:00am-10:30pm.

Beware - not vegan at all! - Edit
Unfortunately, the mung bean pancake is not vegetarian or vegan at all. It is cooked in the same oil and using the same utensils as meat dishes. Avoid this place and go to one of the other stalls nearby that cook pancakes in the oil only and have meat as an optional topping.

Disappointing - Not for vegans - Edit
The pancake tasted like oil. It was not very good and did not have a mung bean flavour. The pancake is cooked in the same oil as the meat and they use the same utensils so it's not vegan-friendly. I only had a small taste and had to throw it away.
Read moreAlso it was very hard to find. Google maps did not point me in the right direction. It was actually further down the mall than the location marker on Happy Cow. It was very much not worth tracking down. Was more satisfied with Subway which was nearby.
Waste of money and time.
Cons: Limited English, Meat Contamination

Historical Bindaeddeok - Edit
Reasonable price, great old traditional market atmosphere will never let you down. However, they pan fry this vegetarian bindaeddeok in the same oil they pan fry meat bindaeddeok. If you are a strict vegan, you will need to know.😄

yummy, sadly only 1 vegan dish - Edit
It's inside gwangjang market and the pancakes were yummy and not as greasy as we expected. The people eating around us all agreed this is the best place for these pancakes.

Fun experience, decent food. - Edit
I showed the lady at the counter my vegan Korean passport and she quickly pointed towards the pancakes saying that they were vegan. The pancake is served with kimchi and seasoned onions. I was unsure of the kimchi so I just didn't eat it. Staff was very quick to seat you and the food was served very fast. It's a fun experience that just so happens to serve vegan food. Be prepared for a crowd!
