Terrific Food

The food is excellent and it’s a good place for very small gatherings. Liked it before I became vegetarian, a favorite place of many people I know in the area regardless of food style. I’m doing no refined sugar andI don’t think there are any dessert options for me there, and maybe their menu can specify which items are vegan and vegetarian.

I love this place but

I love this place but I am putting a disclaimer out there because I see im not the only one who made this mistake. ALL THE BURGERS AT SOMETHING SWEET ARE NOT VEGAN, THEY HAVE EGGS!!. This was fine when I was vegetarian, though I am no longer. Most of the workers will say theyre vegan, but I spoke with the owners who actually make them, and they are NOT vegan. theres a hummus wrap thats vegan and salads (only maple nuts are vegan) with a vinegrette.

Pros: Everything is yummy (for vegetarians)

Cons: Many employees dont know what vegan means

Great cafe-not hard to be vegan even in a small town!

This cafe is great, and one of the highest quality café's in the area. A few vegan options that are really yummy!

Pros: Vegan options, Other food easily made vegan/vegetarian

Cons: Bakery items not vegan

Parisian Style Cafe

This is a beautiful cafe right in the middle of Middletown. They serve lunch and dinner, it's not just a bakery. There are several vegan and vegetarian items like chickpea burgers and red bean burgers that are delicious! And there are many more! And they are great with substitutes to make your meal more vegan friendly. They serve delicious wine, as well.

They have a glass-enclosed outdoor space and they have live music outside in the summer. We love going here because it is a fancy cafe, with moderate prices and both my husband and I can find something to eat. It reminds us more of a French cafe and we were pleasantly surprised to find it in Middletown.

Pros: Multiple Vegan/Vegetarian Items, Wine served, Live Music in Summer

Cons: Some meat Items, Bakery Items not vegan, No tofu, tempeh.
