Friendly and tasty - Edit
A small vegan restaurant with friendly atmosphere. We ordered scorched rice and rice in lotus leaf, both were great! We also got some fruit for dessert. Menu in English. Might seem a bit off but it was easy to get here by metro. Closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Amazing discovery in Busan! - Edit
Loved this little vegan restaurant in Busan! Lovely owner, nice traditional style Korean menu and the food was very impressive.
Read moreWe didn’t want to try the vegan fried chicken since we are not big fans of fried foods but the woman recommended it and omg, it was amazing, probably the best vegan fried chicken I’ve ever tried.
The spicy tofu stew was also a winner! And both version of fried shiitake mushrooms were fantastic too. One has a sweet taste and the other has a spicy/sweet flavor.
Prices are really good and you can also buy vegan snacks like biscuits, instant noodles, chocolates, etc…
Super recommended!

Lovely experience - Edit
A small cafe (4 tables of 4) with shop items. The woman was very nice. I got a set meal of rice wrapped in lotus leaf plus soup and sides (14000) as well as a small portion of soy chicken (10000) - it was a lot of food but I managed it all. I was the only person there and the woman was chatty, asking about veganism in my own country and about it being sad seeing the fishmonger across the street. Supreme Master TV was on! Clean toilet. They will be closed for summer holiday Aug 1-6 2023.

Great food and lovely service! - Edit
They were happy to speak English with us. We ordered a soup with sides each and the large chicken which was in plenty for two people. Sides weren’t the typical you usually get, rather there’s a bit more work to them!
Read moreThey also have some food you can take away like frozen dumplings and instant ramen which is handy, seeing as not many convenience stores have vegan ramens.

It was really good, I had the soup of the day with rice, which was delicious with lots of accompaniments! She even gave me free tea and sweet potato fries 🥹

Food tasted off, questionable hygiene. - Edit
Tldr; Food tasted stale/old, lack of hygiene.
Read moreAnother disappointment due to high review. I am not sure if I came on the wrong time or day, or if the previous customers annoyed the owner, but this visit was just plain bad.
When I arrived, the owner didn't want to give me a menu, and acted confused why I wanted to order, since she thought I already did. She seemed to mistakingly think I was related to the other 3 customers that were already seated and waiting for their food.
There was some clear animosity/annoyance between that group and the owner, and it just made me feel uncomfortable to sit there.
Table was very dirty and sticky, and it had a strong scent of bacteria, like old wet towels. The side plates felt really "off", and none of them felt fresh. Probably the worst kimchi I tried in Korea.
I ordered the fried shiitake mushrooms in sweet and spicy sauce, and it felt like I got a dish that was reheated more than once. No idea what happened there, but I regretted not taking the small portion. My partner got a daily soup that was mostly tasteless.
The best part of the meal was the steamed rice, which was the only fresh thing we received.
While it's nice having a completely vegan place that serves authentic local food, it doesn't excuse the state of the place, not should it mean one should accept bad food.
My heart goes out to the owner, who I am sure is a sweet person normally. But I cannot in good heart give this place anything higher than 2, especially when there are places In Busan that give the same kind of food but without the faults of this restaurant.
Note: I will add that she sells some vegan food products, some by the excellent Korean brand VegeFood. We've bought some ready meals by them in Seoul and they were incredible.

Would not recommend - Edit
Unfortunately, the tables are sticky and the place seems quite dirty.
Read moreMoreover, the food is not tasty - it does not taste fresh or interesting at all.
The soup was flavourless, the mushroom "meat" was soggy in sauce, not enjoyable to eat. Rice was overcooked, kimchi tasted old, as well as the vegan cheese/veggie side dish . Service was slow, of course, because the poor old lady is on her own. Maybe she could get somebody to help out? I agree this place should get some attention since it's fully vegan, a five star review seems however very eccessive. Had a terrible first night in Busan because of these false reviews.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Dirty - tables are sticky! , Slow - very! , Not tasty at all, food tastes old

Amazingly tasty food and friendly host - Edit
We stopped in for a late lunch after visiting the culture village in the morning and were so glad we did! There are only 4 tables inside so our late arrival probably worked in our favour, but it looks like food is served all afternoon.
Read moreWe chose the tofu stew and the rice in lotus leaf dishes, which came with the day's soup and plenty of banchan. The tofu stew was out of this world! One of the best things I've tasted, and it packed a spicy kick that I haven't found from much other vegan food in Korea. The tofu in the soup was such a wonderful texture too. All the other food was great too, including an unnervingly beef-like banchan.
Our host was really friendly and welcoming and sent us off with some vegan biscuits.
Pros: Amazing tofu stew, Great variety of banchan, Friendly host

Amazing Korean vegan food - Edit
This restaurant is a great opportunity to try authentic Korean food without animal products.
Read moreI ordered the spicy tofu stew (순두부찌개) which came with several side dishes such as kimchi and rice. The meal was cheap, delicious and filling, and you could request more side dishes if desired.
The only con is the small seating area - I arrived at opening time and all four tables were quickly filled. I would definitely recommend arriving early.
Definitely worth checking out if you are in Busan!

Wow, that’s such an awesome vegan Korean experience!! - Edit
I was craving so much for a vegan Korean place since most of vegan places are westernised.
Read moreThe place is so cozy, small menu (finally not overwhelming 😅), and the lady working there is amazing. An activist and veteran. So much respect as it’s so hard to be vegan in korea.
Everything tastes just right. If you take side dishes you get a chance to try lots of Korean small dishes.
She also serves lots of Korean snacks. Even ramen or peanut butter chocolates (I bought 2, so tasty!)

Best fried soy chicken - Edit
Absolutely delicious. We ordered 3 dishes and loved them all. Our favourite was definitely the fried soy chicken though, super yummy!! It came with sweet chilli sauce which was the perfect flavour for it. It was easy to find with maps, and not too far to travel to from Gamcheon Culture Village. We arrived around 2:30pm and 1 of the dishes we originally wanted to try had already sold out. We also got the last serving of the fried chicken. Probably would be best to go a bit earlier to avoid missing out on anything you'd like to try. Would recommend! 😊

Delightful. A true 5 star experience in Busan. - Edit
Beautiful perilla seed soup with noodles, mouth-watering scorched rice in sweet and sour sauce, and the most moist and tender fried soy "chicken" you've ever had - plus sides that are refilled upon request. The staff is friendly and attentive too. Situated in a restaurant / market neighbourhood that is fun to wander through.
