Slutty Vegan - 3.5 Stars

I was extremely excited to see a Slutty Vegan opened in New York City, as I had an overwhelmingly positive experience at two of their locations in Atlanta … the food was simply to die for. However, I didn’t have the same experience at this location and thought the burger was just OK, it just wasn’t the same quality/taste. The staff were absolutely lovely and high energy, just like in Atlanta, but I probably won’t be back for the burgers, sadly.

Lived up to the hype!

Hilarious staff and decor (it’s ok to call people sluts and heauxs in there), and our burgers and fries were delish

I’ve finally arrived!

I’ve had Slutty Vegan on my radar for years since they first started in Atlanta, but this location was the first one I’ve had the opportunity to visit. The staff loudly welcomed a new slut, reminiscent to how Japanese restaurants welcome customers. There are three burger variations, all of which come with the same base and crinkle fries. I ordered the Sloppy Toppy, which has jalapeños on it. The cashier asked if I also wanted a lemonade or a slushie, so I opted for one of the two flavors: strawberry dragonfruit. She also ordered a happy ending, the choices of which are a walnut brownie or one of six ice cream flavors, but I decided the slushie would be enough sugar in one sitting. I picked up my drink at the side counter, where the happy endings also were. The slushie was too sweet for my taste but might be satisfying to others. I absolutely loved the fries: perfectly crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, and deliciously seasoned with a Cajun spice mix. I didn’t even need the ketchup. I also enjoyed my burger quite a lot: both the patty and the cheese were quite convincing. I can’t wait to return before the end of my trip!
