Good vegan breakfast spot if you like pancakes 😍 - Edit
I read some concerning reviews on here about the pancakes and almost didn’t go, but we really enjoyed our visit! This restaurant does not have extensive vegan options by any means, but if you’re down for a lot of carbs and yummy pancakes with a unique environment, it’s a great place! We especially appreciated this find as filling vegan food for breakfast near our hotel was slim pickings and we really needed to carb-up this day for 3 hikes! The pancakes are not fluffy or out-of-this-world amazing, but we really enjoyed them, the fun topping options, and ate them all happily 😋🤙
Read morePros: Lots of pancake options , Filling breakfast in the area
Cons: Very few other vegan options

Should clarify, the 3 stars is for lack of overall options, not the taste or enjoyment of what we did get!

Fun for the whole family! - Edit
Who doesn’t like to make their own pancakes?! For vegans & non this is a fun place to go.
Read moreSome have complained about the batter. Well, GF is completely different & why restaurants continue to lump the V & GF things together will never cease to stump me. Anyway ~ for V&GF it’s really good.

We hated these vegan/gluten free pancakes. - Edit
They had a chemical after taste and were confused about what vegan butter was / overall not worth the wait and price

Rubber…. - Edit
It’s a great concept. We chose the make your option option with a grill in our table. That was fun. They vegan (and GF) batter made rather rubbery pancakes. And there is no vegan ‘butter’ option. They make a vegan coconut syrup which was nice. And there are plenty of fruit options. But overall I ended up with an in early sweet plate of blah texture.

Decent option - Edit
This is a decent spot for people eating with non-veg family. The pancakes are decent and they have fresh fruit to top with. The price is on the high end but typical for the area.

Terrible pancakes - Edit
I went here under the impression that it was hard to make a pancake taste bad. Oh wow was I wrong. the pancake was one of the worst I’ve had. Vegan pancakes with banana. I gagged down a few bites and called it. I also went with a no vegan and their food was terrible too. I unfortunately do not recommend this restaurant.

Pancakes are thin and super dry. Toppings: 1Tbs. worth $2-$4.50 per each item. - Edit
The staff is friendly. The vegan/gluten free pancakes were thin and super dry. Sadly, the worst I’ve ever had. The toppings are expensive and will only receive maybe a tablespoon of each item. We left with full plates and hungry bellies.

Cons: Pancakes are dry like the desert. Worst ever! , Toppings: $2.00-$4.50 each for 1 tablespoon worth

Grateful for the option but not blown away. - Edit
Very thankful for a vegan breakfast option but I would say dont be prepared for an amazing stack of pancakes. I hate to say it, but I think most of us have made more delicious vegan pancakes in our own homes. I had the blueberry pancakes but it was just blueberries on top. Hit the spot but had hoped for more. I saw avocado toast also on the menu as an alternative.

Fun and Yum! - Edit
After close to an hour wait in Monday morning around 10am. We had a friendly server and had an enjoyable and relaxing breakfast. My daughter and I (both vegan) shared vegan pancakes with strawberries & papaya plus the avocado toast. We did the make your own version and it was fun. Other reviewers said they didn’t taste good but we liked them (maybe because we soaked them in fruit and syrup)!

Solid vegan pancakes! - Edit
I did not do the DIY vegan pancakes, but instead ordered the Hawaiian Pancakes without whipped cream and substituting the normal batter for the vegan/gluten free batter (free of charge!) The pancakes were good and thick, and the pancakes come with free maple syrup and coconut syrup (which was delicious, and vegan!!) For a very fun breakfast, I would definitely go back!

As a vegan-Skip the vegan DIY pancake batter. Stick to avocado toast (without butter) and potatoes.

Nice idea - Edit
While the concept of cooking your own pancakes at the table was very enjoyable (especially for my younger siblings), the vegan pancake batter was not very good in my opinion. The batter was also gluten free, and thus quite grainy and not very “pancakey”, and I’m pretty sure that was the only vegan option they had. If you don’t mind gluten-free pancakes though, I think you would really like this place and if you’re in the area, try it out (especially if you have kids).

Has vegan pancakes with lots of filling and topping options. The coconut syrup is also vegan. I am not sure if they have other vegan options, but the pancakes were labeled vegan. I did not see vegan egg or meat options or tofu scramble.

Great spot for a carb heavy breakfast. You can sub out the vegan and gluten free batter for any stack from the kitchen, but no non dairy milk for coffee. Long wait on weekends, but great option to have for an omni crowd.

Cook pancakes yourself - Edit
Saw this place listed on happycow for Maui and stopped in for a try. Here's my Slappy Cakes review.
Read moreIt's a novel idea that's especially fun for kids. One of the batter options is gluten-free/vegan. So you order that, which comes in a squirt bottle with enough batter for 4 full-size pancakes. To me the pancakes tasted fine
Nothing else on its large breakfast & brunch food menu is vegan, though -- lots of egg, dairy, meat.
