Loved going here to meet the animals and Mike, especially after seeing all of his rescue stories on Facebook. Very welcoming. Great place to bring people new to the vegan lifestyle or vegan curious to hear the animals stories.
If you are vegan and sometimes find yourself feeling emotionally and mentally trapped in an endless pit of pain, heartache and vicarious trauma, you need to go to this place. The animals are not the only ones that are experiencing deep healing here. The visitors will also walk away with a newfound sense of peace and inner restoration knowing that this kind of sanctuary exists and that there are people out there who actually give a damn and who are working every day to bring safety and happiness to as many animals as they can.
This place is amazing!
Tours are offered on weekends during warmer weather. Tony’s pizza in Hamburg on route 94 has lots of great vegan offering after your tour. Fogwood and fig is a bit farther but all vegan and worth the drive.
Nice and very informative tour guided by Mike where we learned about the animals stories and about the places they were rescued from. They take very good care of their animals and we were able to meet them.
Love this place. The tours are great! You get lots of information and stories while spending time with the animals. Great place to bring your non vegan friends or family so they can understand you and your lifestyle choices better. Animals are adorable of course. Suggested donation for the tour is $10 per person. They always need help so you can become volunteer. Lots of great ways to support them and help more animals are listed on their website too

I love everything about Skylands. They are a rescue and animal sanctuary, they do tours and tell the stories behind the rescues.
