Glad there was a vegan option but meh

There was just one vegan option on the menu and it was a polenta tart with red pepper, mushroom and pesto. Unfortunately, it was pretty boring and bland :( no vegan desert. the vegetarian options on the menu looked better to be fair, but they should up their vegan game really. Also! The coffee was not fresh, real coffee. Tasted like cappuccino powder you add water to. Kind of disappointing overall. Cute place with potential though.

Pros: At least some vegan food I guess, Adorable decor

Cons: Bland, Poor choice, Bad coffee

Med inspired tart on Skye

Delicious vegan tart with a polenta base, roast veg and pesto. Lovely little craft shop inside. Friendly service. Dogs are welcome on the benches outside. Chips and home made ketchup are incredible!

Pros: Tasty, creative pie

Cons: In one vegan option

You must go to Skye Pie!

While I was a tad hesitant to visit since there weren't a ton of vegan options, I was still intrigued. I am so glad we stopped. This was our favorite meal of the trip! We loved the vegan pie, salad and potato wedges. Some of the soup specials were vegan too. It was all wonderfully seasoned and delightful (and we're picky since we love to cook). If you're vegetarian there were a few more options. If you're on Skye, please make an effort to visit (on your way to Kilt Rock!)!! I can't say enough good things about this charming restaurant.

Pros: Knitting while you wait!, Friendly service, Local produce

Cons: Hard to find (look for tiny sign!)

nice creative place to visit!

We went here on a rainy day and had to wait 15 minutes until at 12 o'clock all new pies were fresh out of the oven. There is only one vegan pie, which is quite nice for me and my husband finds it delicious. We had it with beans and wedges. The homemade wedges were very good. They have soymilk, unfortunately no sweet treats today. The restaurant has different rooms. You are invited to do something creative like sewing your name on paper and hang it on the cyclingwheels which are hanging on the sealing in one room. There were also vegetarian choices, see my photo of the menu.

Pros: friendly staff, lovely creative interior, you can order soymilk in your coffee/tea

Cons: one choice of pie for vegans, no choice of sweet treat/dessert for vegans

Great local and organic option!

There are slim pickings on Isle of Skye for Vegetarians and especially vegans. This cute little pie cafe not only has both options clearly marked, but my vegan savory tart was fantastic. It tasted fresh, natural, wholesome and well balanced without fake meat or fake cheese. I have paid $20+ for similar dishes in New York, Portland and LA. This was hands down the best vegan meal I've had in Scotland.

The cafe is run by a family, the husband is the chef and wife runs the front. The atmosphere is charming and cozy.

The menu is very, very small and ever changing but I believe the vegan and veg option is constantly available, if ingredients change. Other options are very local meat centric, so if it bothers you to frequent a place that serves unusual local meat, this may not be for you.

They also serve teas and coffee and beer and wine.

To find to place, head north past Potree and Old Man Storr. Just before you reach Staffin and the turn for the Quiraing you'll see a small sign on the left with plenty of parking and a white two story building down a slope.

If you want a healthy local experience (not chips and iceberg in a pub) go here!

Pros: Healthy and hearty, Local and organic, Cozy and sweet

Cons: Serves Scottish style meats in pies
