Great selection of vegan options - Edit
This restaurant used to be all vegan, so even though now they are omni they have a separate vegan menu and know how to cook great vegan food. Portion sizes are awesome, I always end up taking some home. Not expensive either, and a lovely location near the Port River waterfront.

General idea and set up is fine but the final execution misses the mark a little. Slightly awkward staff (eg explaining the menu to us for a few minutes when it certainly doesn’t need it) and taking ages to come and get our order. Serving sizes were fine, but general taste lacked something to make me come back in a rush. General value for money wasn’t the best.

Amazing - Edit
The staff are really friendly. The chef came out to speak to our group (13 of us) to explain the chef specials and answer our questions about the food before we ordered.
Read moreThe food itself was amazing. I didn't manage to snap pictures of everyone's dish but they looked awesome and everyone really enjoyed their meal.
If you go here I would highly recommend getting a chef special or the magic mushroom.
Pros: Fully vegan, Delicious food, Friendly staff

Port Adelaide Sky Vegan Vietnamese RestaurantDisappointing - Edit
Attended a week ago. We were really looking forward to supporting this vegan addition to the port. Ordered a satay tofu entre that was small but OK tasty. At least, what I had expected.
Read moreFor mains we ordered a vegetable Laksa and I ordered a mock beef Laksa. Both were awful. The beef laksa was a white fluid that tasted like a quarter glass of milk mixed with 4 cups of water with a few vegies/mushrooms, a few bits of fake beef. I think a chilli may have been waved through it all. Milky and flavourless. My partner had abandoned her pale grey-brown vegetable laksa less than a third of the way into it. It tasted (she pushed it over to me) totally tasteless...unless noodles in dishwater is your thing. We were EXTREMELY disappointed. As vegans we promote veganism. If a non-vegan ate this meal they could conclude that vegan food is tasteless and boring which is certainly not the case generally.
I asked to see the chef and he came out for a chat and we offered our feedback on our experience of our meal. Essentially he proffered the explanation that this was Vietnamese laksa that uses more subtle spices and suggested that people's palate's differ!.
Any way..in my view the experience was disappointing and we strongly recommend that you do not order Laksa at the Port Adelaide Sky Restaurant. Be aware when looking at reviews that reviews for the Port Adelaide restaurant don't get confused with those from the North Adelaide Sky restaurant.
Service was OK...unremarkable. Prices appeared reasonable were the food reasonable. Restaurant was about half full at 7:30pm on a Saturday evening.

Best vegan Laksa ever no kidding - Edit
This place serves amazing vegan food. The vege stir fried flat noodles was perfect and even better the laksa was another large serving, rich in fresh flavor, the coconut not too creamy, garlic, aniseed, noodle and bean shoots, curd and more the spices were all perfect. The service was fast and very very friendly. The guy (cook I guess) came out and had a chat and I could tell he was passionate about his business and we will be going back again I really hope he succeeds against the big boy restaurants on O'connell st. Two large main courses and 2 x beers all under $50 for a Sunday night out. Would give 5 stars but Happy Cow only allow a 4 if not a fully vegan restaurant.

Delicious Laksa! - Edit
Amazing Vietnamese restaurant with a lot of passion! We had the Vegan Laksa and it was amazing! The mock beef stir fry was good too. They use a technique called Sous Vide to prepare the vegetables, this helps the dishes to maintain all the vitamins, nutrients and flavors. They are very passionate about healthy foods.
Read moreVery friendly staff/owners. Their ideal future would be to be a totally Vegan restaurant.
Pros: Gorgeous dishes, Very tasty and still healthy
Cons: They can run out off creme brulee
