Vegan food in the wilds - Edit
I was so surprised by this place since it’s more or less in the middle of nowhere, where the vegan options often are slim or none.
Read moreThis place had five vegan options, almost as many as the none vegan options, which was pretty cool.
I only had the vegan waffles with cloudberry jam and vegan whip cream, but they tasted pretty good.

Great food, lovely surroundings - Edit
It's not easy to find places that cater to vegans and also have options suited to picky vegan kids. Sjöstugan had waffles and also some more grown up options. I appreciated being able to get a soup, as a burger so often is the only vegan option in not so vegan friendly areas like this.
Read moreThere was some initial confusion as to what the vegan options actually were (vegan soup of the day, if the burger labeled vegetarian could be made vegan etc), as the lady we ordered from didn't know, but the kitchen and servers had it under control, so she just had to go and ask. I hope more people will come and ask for vegan options! Everything on display (cookies etc) that was vegan had labels.
We were very pleased with the presentation and flavour of the food.
Coffee was included and Oatly iKaffe (oat milk for coffee) was available.
I recommend Sjöstugan!
Pros: Tasty vegan options, Child friendly option (waffles!) , Lovely surroundings
Cons: A bit unclear at first what we could order
