Very convenient sandwiches - Edit
Open early and closes late so available any time in the day. They might not have any vegan sandwiches in the fridge but you can just order one at the till and they'll make you one fresh, it's great for a quick lunch on a hike and tastes quite good, full of veggies! Sometimes they put a nice pesto-y thing on it that adds a nice taste!

Great place to get your pre hiking snacks- vegan cheese, dips, crisps, biscuits, cakes. Just be careful and read labels on cakes- many contain eggs (huevos).

Perfect little health food store whereby to purchase healthy snacks/drinks prior to or after your excursions along the trails surrounding El Chalten.
Read moreThe have a pretty diverse variety of snack/drink options, and you can also order sandwiches in advance of a long day out on the trails.
I highly recommend stopping into Simple, located along the main avenue running through the town, to see if anything catches your interest.
