Delicious cakes

A lovely little café which does a selection of vegan and gluten free cakes. I had white chocolate and blueberry which was yummy, along with the vegan hot chocolate (vegan marshmallows!) - also great.

Will come back again and again.

Pros: Great range of cakes, Lovely atmosphere, Hot chocolate

Great 😊

Went for a lunch out with my mum, I ordered the hummus on toast and my mum ordered the avocado on toast. Both were absolutely delicious and the staff were so lovely.

Cosy and cute. Gorgeous Cakes.

We took our dogs and enjoyed a lunch and tea and cake. The sandwiches were tasty and fresh and the cakes were gorgeous too. Lots of vegan options, hard to choose.

Pros: Great location in market town & dog friendly , Nice decor & comfortable seating

A must when visiting Otley

This is my favourite cafe in Otley. It’s vegetarian with many vegan options. The atmosphere is cute and cosy and the staff are very friendly. They sell comforting lunch items such as avocado toast and delicious cakes.

Vegan Food In Otley

Visited Sift after contacting owner Rosie about soya free options.. Lovely cosy cafe in the centre of Otley with parking nearby. Ordered courgette & mint soup and hubby had homemade beans on toast, with two decaf Americano coffees. Delicious food and friendly service. Rosie had made soya free coconut and cherry cake specially for me, it was a lovely finish to a tasty lunch. Would definitely return if ever we are over that way again.

Pros: Vegan options, Accommodating as regards allergies, Vegan cakes

Great food! Lovely atmosphere

A really welcome addition to the town. The cakes are the main event and the selection is always on point. I have a gluten intolerance and can always manage to have a lovely cake here so I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I’m not a vegan but the food that the cafe offers caters for vegans and tbh when I eat vegan cake I don’t feel like I’d miss dairy again. Well done Sift

A not very vegan friendly, vegetarian restaurant

The menu is very basic, the choice is either something on toast, a toastie or soup. There was no option for the type of bread- just sourdough. There were quite a few rather nice looking cakes... unfortunately only 1 was vegan. The rest had eggs or milk which is, of course, unnecessary. Cakes can be made just as delicious without any animal secretions. I was rather shocked to hear a lady talking loudly across the cafe, to one of the staff members, about eating a pork sandwich earlier too. A bit of tact would nice in a veggie cafe. The food was quite over priced for what it was. I had beans on toast (£4.50) which was actually beans, next to toast, that I had to butter myself. My friend had a cheese toastie, which did look nice and I would have ordered that but unfortunately, there was no vegan cheese. I was looking forward to visiting this cafe but unfortunately was sorely disappointed. I genuinely hope my feedback will help with improvements.

Pros: Had (limited) vegan choices

Cons: Very limited menu, Somewhat overpriced , Nowhere near enough vegan options

Hi Tina, I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience with us - we've only been open for 6 months, so the menu is being developed constantly to offer better choices for everyone. I must point out that over 50% of the menu is vegan, though admittedly heavy on the toast, something we're working on adjusting. I take on board your feedback, and thank you for your review. I hope you'll give us another chance in the future.

How exactly is it the cafe owner’s fault if a customer is talking about meat? Get a grip

Lovely little vegetarian/vegan café

Extremely friendly staff, excellent coffee with a choice of non-dairy milk. Several vegan options - I had the peanut butter granola, which was delicious, followed by brown toast with dairy-free butter and jam. A great range of cakes, including several vegan ones. The pricing is a little random with avocado toast priced at £6.00 and toast with jam/peanut butter/marmite at £1.75. Still, I recommend it highly. The decor is lovely.

Pros: 100% vegetarian/vegan, Plenty of vegan options, Excellent coffee

Cons: Limited menu
