Great to see this vege place return - Edit
This used to be in Colombo St in town, now is in Fendalton, in an old cafe. Signage isn’t great. I tried the thali. Everything was delicious. Huge portion. Decent price. Would return to try more #Veganuary

Authentic indian food - Edit
I've had the Thali and a vegan Mango lassi and both was really good. ( lassi was a bit too sweet for me, though...) they offer a lot of different dishes and also cakes and sweets

Sad review - Edit
I came here for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant. I had high hopes after reading the previous reviews and having dined at previous Hare Krishna places but something must have changed because we had a very disappointing experience. The samosa was old, stale and luke warm. My companion had similar issues with the savoury she ordered. The sauces that came with it were nice and were the highlight of the meal. I had the mango lassi and it was $1.50 more for it to be vegan. I had only one sip and could not have anymore and that is very rare for me. It tasted very metallic and it seemed like it was just a glass of pureed tinned mango. The metallic taste was if the mangos had been sitting in an opened tin at the back of the fridge for a while.

The place was empty which was odd at lunchtime on a weekday for that location.
The wall menu was not at all clear about what was and was not vegan and it wasn't really clear from how the server explained it either. She did know what vegan was though.
I liked the decor and it was modern and not crowded and seemed clean.
I bumped into someone later who said they had gone the night before and had a similar bad experience. Their food was also luke warm and unevenly served. (i.e. people who ordered the same dishes got served different things on their plates.)
I will definitely not be going back which is sad because it is right by my work and I like to support local veg places. But I just felt like I threw my money away as the food was so poor quality. Sorry.

A welcome vegetarian Indian eatery - Edit
Clearly caters to both vegans and vegetarians. I only bought a mango lassi here which was great, but the rest of the food looked nice and authentic. Reasonably priced too.

A blessing this place has opened! - Edit
Went here for dinner last night and it was outstanding!! The food was all very fresh and tasty and there was a lot of variety for vegans. Service was quick and it was very good value for money ($40 all up for a huge plate of food each for 3 people). The guy who served us was lovely and said they’ve only just opened. I encourage you all to go and give them your business because they are worth it! The decor is really cool too and they have a massive wonderful psychedelic painting inside.

Great food at low price - Edit
This is a humble and beautiful restaurant. As soon as we steped in the owner asked if we were vegans, he showed us all the vegan options (the menu wasn't printed yet) and took our order. We had a really good curry (don't remember the name) with an delicious Muffin as dessert.
