Leckere Ramen - Edit
Sehr leckere Ramen, auch wenn der Tofu etwas gewürzt hätte sein können. Die anderen Zutaten waren lecker und vielfältig.

Excellent broth - Edit
There are three labelled vegan ramens on the menu, plus a few side dishes. We had the crispy tofu bao buns to start. The tofu did indeed have a lovely crispy texture and the sauce was tasty, but the other components (tomato, lettuce, cucumber) watered everything down a bit, unfortunately. Visually, it could have used a bit more care to make it look more tempting too.
Read moreI had the white natural ramen, which had a lovely savoury, creamy broth with loads of flavour. My partner has the spicy natural, and loved the kick to the broth. In both dishes, the portion of noodles was generous. The toppings were a bit boring - the tofu didn't have any flavour, and the broccoli was a fun change from the usual bok choi but was a bit tricky to manage. Overall, we felt the exciting broth was a bit let down by the toppings.
Service was quite fast and friendly. Everything was easy to navigate and it's a nice bright spot.

Tasty vegan ramen - Edit
I'm obsessed with ramen and love finding new places to try, but have been a bit disappointed with vegan options in some new places in Manchester.
Read moreThey had a few deals on, January detox set menu, but I went for the early bird cheap ramen deal (week days 3-6pm) because the ramen I wanted was included in the deal (there are 3 vegan ramen options).
The white natural ramen with a choice of noodles (I went for firm). The ramen came quickly and it was so tasty and filing, it had two large slices of tofu, mushrooms, spring onion and broccoli and nori, tasty and not spicy (chilli, sauces and sesame were on the table to add to taste). I visited solo, staff were friendly and knowledgeable and I will return for more tasty ramen (and maybe try the other vegan options too!).
Pros: Service - staff were friendly and fast , Vegan menu , Deals on food

Delicious ramen - Edit
We had the crispy tofu bao buns for a starter, spicy vegan ramen for main, sake, frozen Japanese beer, and vegan chocolate mochi ice cream for desert. All the food and drink was delicious! Can’t praise it enough.

Not a surprising ramen, nice staff - Edit
Great service and the food was nice. At the time of our visit they had a special menu deal consisting of a appetiser, main and drink (with vegan options). We had the vegan kakiage which was amazing and then the white natural ramen which tasted nice but the soup itself wasn’t that powerful in taste.

Umami-rich - Edit
Well rounded Ramen with white miso broth, lovely fresh noodles with great texture, and a flavour-packed seaweed salad.
Read moreWe enjoyed the ramen, it was simple but delicious with the chilli oil and a touch of extra soy sauce on the table. Tofu was lovely and fresh.
Staff were friendly and professional. Food was quicker than expected and we look forward to trying another Shoryu restaurant.
We got the £20 detox deal with ramen, salad and drink and added extra noodles and extra tofu. So all in all quite a good deal for less than £30.
Pros: Umami filled ramen, £20 vegan meal Deal (January detox 2023), Friendly, helpful & courteous
Cons: Limited vegan mains

Unique and tasty - Edit
This was my first time at a proper ramen restaurant so I was excited to try it. There aren't many vegan options on the menu, but that was probably because when we went the menu was overall quite small. However, that wasn't a bad thing as everything on it looked delicious! I had the vegan ramen, it was so so good and a generously sized portion. The tofu was cooked really nicely, and the seaweed flavour was very moreish.

Delicious Japanese food - Edit
I absolutely loved the food at Shoryu. I had the Black Sesame Tofu as a starter, followed by the White Natural Ramen. Both dishes were fantastic! They really belong to the best food I’ve ever had.

They only have one vegan starter and one vegan ramen but they have started a new spicy ramen which isn’t on the menu yet. It is delicious. Deep bowls and massive portions for the price. Lovely staff.

SO tasty 😋 - Edit
There were only a couple fully vegan dishes, but there were starters and two mains. My partner and I had the seaweed salad to start which was beautifully seasoned and very tasty. We then had the two mains, which was a tofu ramen bowl, one spicy, one not, and both were absolutely delicious 🤤 I guzzled mine down in no time at all. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. If you haven’t been before they explain the menu to you, and upon telling the waitress we’re vegan, she kindly went through all the vegan options with us, and described the kind of flavours in each dish! They offer student discount ramen bowls and a loyalty system! I wish I lived here so I could visit more often 😄
