Huge vegan menu - Edit
Good plant-based Asian restaurant near the famous Vienna ferris wheel at Prater. The menu was dazzling. Maybe sometimes less is more? The food was fresh and healthy but the “secret peanut sauce” could’ve used some more flavor.

Many options - Edit
They have a lot of different options, amongst them ramen. For lunch they have 4 dishes on offer for about 13 euros. Other things cost about 17 euros.
Read moreMy ramen was delicious but very oily, the satay stick we got as well came with a delicious sauce. Friendly staff. Toilet available.
Pros: Many different options, Cheaper dishes for lunch
Cons: Ramen was very oily

Cute fully vegan restaurant - Edit
We went here for lunch and had something off the lunch menu, which includes an appetizer and a main for 12.90€. It was delicious and definitely a very good price for the amount of food we received. I would love to come back to also try something from the large menu.

Slightly disappointed - Edit
After all the good reviews, it was going to be hard for Shiyu to live up to the hype. Unfortunately, my main was not particularly enjoyable. I had the rainbow bowl with brown rice and quinoa. Maybe it is my fault for attempting to be healthy but I just found it very dry and my jaw hurt eating it. Also, some of the sweet potato was undercooked and I felt that maybe it could use some seasoning or at least more of a black bean sauce. I did enjoy the aubergine chips as a starter and my boyfriend enjoyed the sichuan tofu which is why I will still give them 4 stars. The mango iced tea was also ok but couldn't really taste the tea.

Cons: Avoid the rainbow bowl!, Amusement park noise from across road

Good enough - Edit
Really liked the tapas concept, they really should expand and add more small dim sum style plates. Other than that they had bowls, soup and salads and a few stir fry type dishes but I found the menu a little confusing.
Read moreWe had 5 tapas, 1 salad (Thai chicken which wasn't my favorite) and 2 desserts for 2 people. Dishes are pretty small so it sounds like a lot but I wasn't full (breastfeeding Mama 😄)
Pros: Cute outdoor seating, Perfect service , Lovely interior
Cons: Small portion sizes / value

Not as good as expected - Edit
Based on the previous reviews we were pretty excited to go, but it definitely didn’t meet the expectations. When we were there, it was pretty full and maybe the staff was a bit overwhelmed, but everything was underseasoned and was a bit tasteless.

Best vegan Asian restaurant in Vienna - Edit
Very cute Asian restaurant with best home made Asian food in Vienna. The staff is very nice. A lot of dishes to choose from. We had the Rainbow and Tempehtation Bowl. Both delicious. Another time I had one of the Hot Pots, also amazing. Even the toilets are full of nice details and everything is very clean. 100% recommended. As we had an anniversary they gave us a delicious free dessert and congratulated us, so sweet. (I think it was a chocolate walnut cake or similar and definitely homemade).

Reopened fully vegan ♥️ - Edit
This family restaurant used to be next street to my workplace, and was basically everyones favourite lunch place. Now, they opened their new location with more space and a great outside seating area.
Read moreThe menu is fully vegan now, and the lunch menu is a good deal. They offer lots of creative, healthy & delicious dishes made with high quality ingredients. A variety of bowls and soups is their speciality, both mild and more spicy options being available. You'll find all kinds of plant-based proteins on the menu, and this is one of the few places I've been to where tempeh is prepared in a way that everybody seems to enjoy.
I can warmly recommend this gem 🌟
Pros: High quality of ingredients , Friendly service, Nice outside seating area
