Fish sauce in almost all ‘vegan’ options

Vegan/vegetarian menu is pescatarian, not vegan or vegetarian.

False Menu!!

We called ahead to double check on the vegan options and were told there is a full
menu. To make a reservation you need to put down a deposit otherwise we would have left. The waiter informed us that only 2 things on the menu were truly vegan even though other items are marketed/labeled as such. The 2 items are the same thing; one as a dish and one in a bao bun. The other items have fish sauce(!!) or dairy even though they are passed off as vegan or vegetarian. That’s incredibly irresponsible and gross! Do not support this business outwardly lying to people. The service was super slow as they only had 2 employees working the whole restaurant. We felt bad for them as it was clearly understaffed. But the real issue is the menu and the false advertising. The item I got was expensive and meh. I would usually still support a place if their 1 vegan option was good but this was not.

I discovered the fish sauce thing recently and was pissed off as I’d ordered the fish-filled curry several times before… which is on their vegan/vegetarian menu! I’ve not been back since.

Yummy

The vegan Mofongo was amazing. I would definitely come back, to enjoy it again. I was happy to find a place with a vegan/veggie menu. The prices are basic for San Juan.
