Amazing Sunday lunch - Edit
I had maybe the best pasta of my life (it would make it into my Off Menu dream meal)! It was amazing, mushroom leek and truffle pasta.
Read more2 courses was £35. There were 2 vegan options for starters, mains and dessert. So a fairly limited choice, but if you want fancy food I’m sure you would like one of the options since they are pretty different from each other. For dessert I had a raspberry cheesecake (also lovely).
Great old English country pub vibe.

Outstanding! - Edit
Shibden Mill Inn is a stunning venue, full of character. There is an upstairs dining room with a lounge area where you can relax with a drink and play games. The food was outstanding and though the separate vegan menu is limited to two choices per course everything looked appealing. I had the mushroom risotto to start and the smoky aubergine for main; both dishes were bursting with flavour. The wine list also states which ones are vegan. Finally, the service was brilliant from start to finish.

Fantastic place - Edit
Had a wonderful night staying at this hotel. Not far from where we live but impressed by the vegan menu so gave it a whirl.
Read moreThe bar is very welcoming and the extensive wine list has a huge selection of vegan wines whether by the glass or bottle. Also good beers - the bar staff are well informed and let you know if vegan or not.
So onto the food. There is a separate vegan menu which is always a good sign. There's a choice of starters, mains and desserts. Apparently changes every 2 months or so. The Crispy Korean Cauliflower, Miso mayo, pickled cucumber and radish was mind blowing. I would have happily had it as a main though the Portobello Mushroom burger, celeriac jam, veganella, black
truffle mayo, fries, mustard dressed salad was also very good. Clearly the kitchen know what they are doing.
Breakfast next morning was impressive. Selection of fruits, preserves etc. But did let me know the muesli contained honey. Again a good choice of vegan options including pancakes with banana. We went for the vegan full English which included vegan sausages, hash brown, baked beans, large portabello mushroom and spinach.
Will happily return.
Pros: Separate vegan menu, Staff have a good understanding of veganism, Great variety of options
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
