simply the best - Edit
My family and I ordered takeaway while I was visiting the area, and my goodness was the quality, service, and taste the best things ever! Collectively, we ordered the mac and cheese, kale lasagna, stuffed avocado special, and cookies, scones, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and biscotti for the following days. Everything was wholesome, delicious, and unique, and quite obviously lovingly prepared. The home-made sour cream for the avocado special was especially impressive, though every single thing was delicious and top-quality. What an absolute treat to have all vegan and gluten free gourmet in Connecticut! This place is very special.

100% Vegan and GF...what a nice surprise! - Edit
This cafe is absolutely amazing! The meals are excellent...yummy fresh ingredients all the way, and I was stunned by the baked goods, so much so that I grab a bunch to go. Try the Iced Dark Chocolate Cake (in the shape of a mini bunt cake)....it looks dry at first glance, but nothing could be further from the truth. It's rich yet somehow light at the same time (doesn't make sense, I know). The scone was velvety, and the coconut chocolate macaroons were just right for little sweetness after stuffing yourself on the mains. The seating area only offers stools, which can get uncomfortable fast, however the stools and tables are certainly lovely to look at. Regardless, I definitely hope to return!

LOVE! - Edit
First, I was so excited that there's finally a vegan place in Old Saybrook! Second, I was so excited with how DELICIOUS everything was! I got the tikka masala and my brother got the hummus wrap. Our meals were full of flavor and the service was amazing. We felt so welcome. I can't wait to come back and try more!

A Gem on the Shoreline - Edit
A quaint place on the shoreline. The food is fresh and delicious. The baguettes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Desserts are are moist and amazing. My daughter loves the “Mac and cheez”. I tried the polenta with mushrooms yesterday...unbelievabley good. Welcoming staff and the owner, Christine, is friendly and accommodating.

Amazing & Delicious! - Edit
Finally, a delicious and reasonably priced vegan place on the shoreline! Everything we tried was great; the cashew mac and cheese, calzone, cinnamon carrot cake, and apple crisp. Everything tasted so fresh and you could tell it was all homemade. I love how you can choose a meal based on what you're willing to spend, and I feel like the prices were reasonable for what you got. I will definitely be visiting Shayna B's regularly!

Awesome Vegan Lunch Spot and Bakery - Edit
I am so pleased that there is now a vegan place in Old Saybrook. Not only that, but the food is delicious, as well as the baked items. Love the calzone, pizza, mac and cheese, soup, and the cookies. This will be our new regular weekend spot.

Yummy little spot! - Edit
We were shocked to learn Shayna B's just opened because it was the perfect little spot to eat for our trip up north; it was just too good to be true! Ordered the Calzone, Spinach Pesto Pizza and the special, which was a Black Bean Borrito Bowl. My mom, 13 year old brother and I all loved our meals and not to mention loved all the desserts as well! Overall definitely check this place out (can definitely taste the love and effort in every bite!)!!

Love it! - Edit
I have been waiting for Shayna B’s to open and yesterday my girlfriend and I went down for lunch. First of all the place is adorable and the owner is so sweet. We didn’t know what to try so we shared the pesto pizza and the calzone...both were incredible! We had the chocolate cookie, cinnamon cardamom cookie and fig cookie and will definitely be back for more. I am so impressed with everything and you can tell how much love goes into the food. We are so happy to have a place like this and will be back soon!

I was so excited to see Shayna B's open up in Old Saybrook! Her muffins, cookies, and loaves of bread are amazing and I was anxious to try her lunch meals. I had the cashew mac & cheese and also tried some of the calzone and both were delicious! Shayna B's never disappoints. I can't wait to go back again and try more!
