Tasty vegan curries - Edit
Went here last night with a friend and asked the waiter what dishes could be made vegan. He marked 8 of them on a take away menu for me to keep. The restaurant menu also marked which dishes were gluten free, mild, hot etc.

We tried the Navaratan Korma and the Pumpkin Masala. The Pumpkin Masala is tempered with onion, fennel, fenugreek and is finished with the chef’s special sauce. It came out on a sizzling platter. Highly recommend.
There was also lots of rice flavours: Kashmiri Pulao (fruit and nut), Lemon Rice (curry leaf and mustard seeds) and Coconut Rice (coconut, curry leaves and mustard seeds).
The tables had a device with a button for when you required service so you can chat away without interruption.
We didn’t try the entree but they said the Samosa, Vegie Pakora and Onion Bhaji were all vegan.

While it’s not explicitly stated on the menu, Shavan’s can make almost any of their vegetarian dishes vegan upon request (the ones with paneer cannot be made vegan).
Read moreI often get takeout from here with the occasional dine in and am never disappointed. The food is fantastic, you can specify the level of spice for the curries (mild, medium or hot), and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Another nice touch is the instrumental music and the tables have a light you can turn on for service so your meal isn’t interrupted unless you require something.
A local favourite I recommend to anyone and everyone.
