Vegan Hotpot! - Edit
Sorry, didn’t take pictures for this unfortunately but I plan to go again in the future. Was with meat eaters so I got distracted.
Read moreApparently they update their menu every once in a while. When I went yesterday, they did have tofu and fried tofu. So that was neat. They have tons of veggies so you won’t go hungry and a variety of noodle options. Sauces I didn’t really try just because I wasn’t sure what was vegan or not.
They also have appetizers on the other side but only looked at the fries which I believe were vegan, the garlic green beans which I should have checked first. Just depends how they make it. Plus they had veggie spring rolls. They had sushi but I didn’t go for it since they drizzled a sauce on it which didn’t look vegan. So be aware of that. They change stuff so keep a look out.
Other than that, fruit and shaved ice which seemed more like a crushed ice but still was nice since it was hot. They also have soft serve ice cream, vegetarians, it should be good along with two toppings of marshmallows and crushed Oreos. I know the normal Oreos are vegan and marshmallows can be vegan but wasn’t sure because many have gelatin in them. Last thing they had popcorn and didn’t know if that was made with butter or vegetable oil. So sorry in advanced that I didn’t check for these but you only have a specific time to eat. A little more than an hour and you run out of time.
Oh! Forgot to mention, they had two broths when I went. So the choice was nice. I went with the seaweed one that wasn’t on the menu. I enjoyed it. Specially with some extra kick of spice.
Overall I enjoyed my first hot pot experience. Look forward to have it again. I do wish they had things labeled if vegan or vegetarian on the labels of each food item. Would be nice. Do recommend and do recommend getting a reservation first but sometimes they get a wave of customers and you don’t want to be waiting while you’re hungry.
Pros: Tons of veggies, A vegan broth, second option not on menu, Staff very knowledgeable
Cons: Wish they had labels for vegan or vegetarian , Wish they had a vegan soft serve ice cream
