Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian cuisine nenu with marked vegan choices. Lunch buffet. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-9:30pm, Sat 11:30am-9:30pm, Sun 11:30am-9:00pm.
I absolutely love the vegetable korma, though it’s vegetarian and not vegan. Their aloo gobi is also very good, and they are happy to help make suggestions.
Seva has a few vegan options that are clearly noted on their menu, and even more vegetarian options. Chana masala is classic. If you're looking for more spice, try Gobi Manchurian.
I used to eat here before I was vegan and I can't get my favorite chicken tikka masala anymore but it's nice to be able to order vegan food. The roti is not so great in compared to naan, but at least they have a bread I can eat. The vegetable pakora is my favorite. None of the peripherals: mango lassi or chai tea are vegan. So you're really not getting as much for your money and it's pretty sad when you're eating with a non vegan that keeps helping himself to those. It takes some of the joy out of going out for Indian food when you can't have those.
They have a vegetarian section on their menu and state which of those are vegan. They are knowledgeable about vegan options and how to make different dishes vegan. Their lunch buffet only usually has one vegan entree option but their pakoras and rice are vegan so load up, they are delicious! The staff is super friendly and accommodating!
Such great customer service and delicious food! - Edit
We decided to try Seva, even though it's a bit of a drive for us, because of the reviews. And it lived up to it's hype! Pretty busy around noon on Sunday, but we were still seated immediately. Asked the waitress about vegan options on the buffet and she didn't know, but gave me a menu to order from and pointed out the vegan options on it. But then the owner came over and showed me which items on the buffet were vegan, AND offered to make me an additional entree from the menu complimentary!
On the buffet, the vegan options were rice, vegetable pakora, daal, and aloo gobi. They also made me a vegan squash dish from the menu and some roti (as the naan is not vegan). We paid $13 each for the lunch buffet (I think weekend prices are different from weekday). Everything I had was phenomenal! I've never had squash at an Indian restaurant before, and it was spiced well with a hint of sweetness that I loved.
The owner stopped by a few times to see how everything was, and the waitress never let our water glasses get low.
I can't wait to go back to try the rest of their menu!!!
My family and I eat here every chance we get! We love Indian food and this is probably our favorite in KC. Staff is very friendly and the food is excellent! Vegan options are marked on the menu as either vegan or "can be vegan". My favorite is the Dal Roti, but the Saag, Seva Squash & Chana Masala are all amazing as well!
I love Indian food, but Kansas City/Liberty do not have many vegan-friendly places to eat. Seva is the exception. Everything is marked on the menu as vegan or "can make vegan" (as well as gluten-free), and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly about it. The food was excellent, too, with good portions and unlimited rice.
My wife and I live north of the river in Kansas City, which is nearly a wasteland when it comes to food options for vegans. Thankfully Seva exists and is wonderful. They understand vegan, list it seperatly on the menu, offer vegan options on every buffet... and it isn't just chana masala. There are nine vegan options on the menu, their garlic nan and rice are vegan as well (rare here in KC. Highly recommended.

Lunch buffet!! - Edit
Would recommend the lunch buffet or else it’s pretty expensive! Usually they try to help if you tell them you’re vegan!
