Love it!!!

It remains my favorite of all time. However, the location may not be as accommodating to people from out of town. I've uploaded some photos here that can serve as landmarks. Look for the temple, then proceed through the entrance. The stall is on your left, a few stalls away from the entrance. Best of luck in finding it.

Hi Bernard, welcome to Penang! As far as I know, there are two places where you can find a stall selling wantan mee from the same owner. The one in Jelutong operates only in the afternoon. For a morning option, I suggest visiting the other outlet. You can find more information at this link: (https://www.happycow.net/reviews/sen-ji-mei-wei-vegetarian-wan-tan-mee-penang-277063). However, I strongly recommend calling them first to confirm the operating hours in case there have been any changes. Bon appétit!

Best Wan Tan Noodle in town

Still the best vege wan tan noodle in Penang. Cheap and delicious. The location is actually Batu Lanchang Market and not Jelutong wet market as stated in the description

Pros: Delicious , Cheap , Friendly of owner

Simple and tasty.

I love these simple chinese veggie stalls that can be found anywhere in SEA . Simple menu, old local customers, low price and no hipsters!

Pros: Simple tasty food

Cons: The café behind the stall serves meat

Great Place, Exceptional Service

Very inexpensive and delicious veggie breakfast food (if small servings of basic fare) nestled inside a coffee shop, hence perfect for caffeine addicts! My only qualms are that they share a space with a vendor selling whole strung-up duck carcasses, a little incongruous and disturbing for a veg*n.

The servings are basically snack-size, so save some stomach space for the vendor in the street who sells vegetarian noodles with tofu, bean shoots and chilli sauces (equally cheap). Both are located within the day-market street; a little difficult to locate, we only found this venue by cross-referencing with the photo on Happy Cow.

Pros: breakfast soups, warm generous service, über cheap

Cons: next to a vendor with strung-up duck carcasses

Opening at the morning wet market, can't be reached by car

The taste is good and similar to decades ago when i still young. The boss and worker giving the best service and friendly. only the disadvantage is the shop only open till 11am and can't be accessed by car during the opening hour as the road occupied by the wet market. need to walk about 10minutes from parking area.

Pros: the price is really cheap, taste is very good

Cons: can't be accessed directly by transport
