Such a lovely experience here. I arrived quite early for breakfast and they had two veg soups (lentil and okra).
Read moreThe restauranteur said (of the soup) that it was what he had for breakfast. I ordered the lentil soup and it was wholesome and filling.
Definitely worth a visit for lunch when their kitchen is in full swing.
It's what the locals eat ...
Pro tip: sit in the front table facing the street and you can watch the neighbouring business owner making Borek. 🙂

A great lokanta in Sultanahmet that has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Just tell the guy at the canteen and they will prepare you a plate. I had rice with spinach, mixed vegetables, and artichokes and everything was great.

Lots of vegan options, waiters understand when you say you are veg and just did us a plate of all the veggies, chickpeas and bulgur wheat. Maybe clarify no fish to be clear. Not touristy - there were locals eating amongst tourists which is a good sign!

Lots of veggie and vegan options. The flavors were great and the food was super tasty. Would recommend to all vegans to get a taste of what the locals eat.
