Poor service, average food - Edit
Where was the smiley staff that another reviewer mentioned? I went here today and just blindly chose 6 things off the menu so I could try them all. I didn't really like any of it and I got it to go so I could give it to a homeless person outside. When I asked the waiter for a menu he just tossed one on the table. The look on his face was like "how dare you come in here". Technically, it is a vegetarian restaurant. But where are the veggies such as broccoli carrots cauliflower celery, etc. It seems to be all thick dough and potatoes. I'd rather eat at KFC or McDonald's... Sorry.

Good basic south Indian food with a few other dishes - Edit
This is pretty similar to a lot of the other nearby south Indian veg restaurants. Lots of choices (though sometimes they can be out of something), and there are some Sri Lankan dishes plus nasi goreng (Indonesian/Malaysian). Quick service.

Saraswathie Lodge is a fantastic place to go if your'e looking for a no frills vegetarian & vegan friendly restaurant. We all had potato masala dosa and pepsis for 3 people which came to a whopping total of $6.50 AUD. Make sure to clarify if you don't want ghee in your food.

Great Food - Edit
Really good food at busy place with helpful smiley staff and great prices. All usual standards of curry and rice, plenty of vegan options string hoppers, dosa.....and oh the (veg)sweets! Located just few minutes from Greenlands Vegetarian Hotel (also reviewed) so if you're in the area!
