Unique restaurant with creative vegan options - Edit
I ate here for the first time last night and really enjoyed it. They have managed to veganise almost all of their traditional South African dishes. The portions are huge and the options are all unique and very creative. I noticed there were also some gluten free vegan options at the back of the menu.
Read moreI had Blomkool (cauliflower and chickpeas) to start which was flavoursome and just enough spice. I then had vegan bunny chow a "beef" curry served inside a bread roll with salad. Ive never tasted anything like it, it was delicious.
My Mum had the vegan Potjie, a "chicken" stew served in a cast pot with rice. Again is was delicious and the portions were huge.
Sadly they dont yet offer any vegan desserts but the waitress said they are working on it. That being said, we were so full we couldn't have eaten a dessert anyway.
Really good option in a lovely setting and an area not known to be vegan friendly.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Gluten free options, Knowledge staff
Cons: No dessert option
