I know the location itself from my youth when I used to eat regularly at the "Kostbar". It's great that there is now a veggie restaurant with healthy, nutritious cuisine again. There are great options for breakfast, lunch (changing stews and other dishes) and coffee and cake. On the menu you will find information about the nutritional profiles next to the dishes, so you know what you are doing for yourself😉If you come alone and want company, you can sit outside at the get together table.
Read moreEverything I've tried so far has tasted great. Sandra is a very lovely person, you feel well looked after. The only thing that could be improved is the organisation. I'm already looking forward to try their breakfast.

Lovely Bistro - Edit
We made a short stop on our cycling tour to check out this new vegan place. The coffee and the food we had was really good. The staff seems really nice. The only small downside is the price which is on the higher end.

We use only high quality "food" (bio / demeter) from the farmers in our area to cook and bake our meals & cakes and make our drinks. Good quality cost more than normal / ordinary quality, also for us restaurateur.

So nice to have a Vegan place in Ratingen. Ambiance and interior is clean but definitely with Charme! Food was pretty good! Prices are definitely very fair! Staff was friendly and very welcoming. Also liked the outside area!

i'm so happy they opened this awesome place in ratingen! the city really lacked vegan options but now there's this oasis which is super great:))
Read more🌿food: is balanced, healthy and delicious. you can have breakfast, lunch and cake. we tried a banana bread, a cinnamon bun and a raw cake so far and everything was nice. i seriously can't wait to try their lunch options.
🌿price: prices are more than fair especially regarding the quality, the fact that they focus on local and seasonal as well as mostly organic products etc.
🌿staff: staff and owners are very welcoming without being obtrusive. you can see how happy they are to have opened this place.
🌿place: the place itself is wheelchair accessible but toilet and outdoor seating area are not because of stairs. i find the interior okay, the majority of their furniture is white which i don't like that much but that's a personal thing.
ps: on the opposite side of the street is the best bookstore in the area, just so you know ;)
Pros: all vegan, tasty, healthy, friendly, fair prices
Cons: 🚽⛔️♿ because of stairs
