Favorite breakfast spot! - Edit
We ate here everyday for breakfast while in Antigua. We couldn’t have been happier with the food and service. Vegetarian options for breakfast were great for our non vegan friends. Very friendly service. The cacao pancakes and the vegan breakfast bagel sandwiches were my favorite but honestly everything was delicious. They have great coffees, smoothies, and juices too.

The first time I went to Samsara I could see the nice interior and the menu had plenty of good looking options so I was excited for my main course to arrive but it was disappointing. My main course was the Wok and it just had very little flavor. It was bland. I went to Samsara a second time because I thought that maybe some other options on their menu were actually tasty so I ordered the Dum Aloo and it was awful. The tomato sauce was sour and tasted like it had just come out of a can and the dish didn’t taste of anything other than that. The quinoa balls it came with tasted like nothing. It was supposed to be an Indian dish but it was nothing like one. My friend who came with me both times ordered the Lao Tzu and the toast with the mushrooms, vegan cheese, and avocado and she was very disappointed as well. The only good thing I liked from Samsara was the drink I got and they have decent portions. The interior of the restaurant is nice as well but the food is not good.

Samsara stole my heart!!! - Edit
Visited Antigua for a week in Jan 2020 and tried Samsara because of a local recommendation. The food is so healthy and fresh, the restaurant has a laid back and cozy atmosphere, the staff is wonderful (just remember to ask for your check when you’re finished, as with most restaurants in the area they don’t like to rush their guests). We found ourselves eating there every day and sometimes a couple of times a day! Everything we had was delicious and we did try to switch things up but often found ourselves ordering the vegan “rollos de huevo” for breakfast. All of the smoothies and mushroom teas we had were great as well! It has been a year and a half and we still refer to Samsara as our favorite restaurant in the world! Can’t wait to get back and try more! DO NOT SKIP THIS RESTAURANT!!

Samsara is a nice place to eat for reasonable price (the price for the most expensive dish I have seen was 53Q, that's really good price compare to other veg aces on the city or those who offer veg options). Huge part of the menu is vegan (big plus for that), it's possible to pay by card. The variety of dishes offered is amazing and I liked everything I tried there (and I have been there many many times).

Love the real health focus of this place and the combo of veggie and vegan options for every dish. So much variety of choice and all so beneficial for the body. I ate here 3 times - 2x breakfast and 1x lunch. All my meals were amazing - really recommend the breakfast options!

Favorite place in Antigua. They have the most interesting menu. I couldn’t try it all but I tried a lot!! The bowls are delicious, the zucchini noodles with the cheezy sauce were amazing! Blueberry coconut smoothie is so good! The carrot cake is to die for! Yummy kombucha and also they sell a few supplements and bamboo toothbrushes etc.

The Bliss Balls (energy balls) are extremely delicious and fresh. I ate at least 6 or 7 between the Antigua and San Marcos location.

Samsara is a lovely place, nice interior, nice staff and very good food. The food is mainly vegan (saw only one vegetarian dish on the menu) and inspired by different culinary influences. I hada wok with veggie noodles (sweetpotatoes, peppers, carrots etc) with tempeh and tahini and it was veeery good, loved the seasoning. The price of 45Q is moderate for Antigua, plus drinking water is free. We shared a cake for dessert, that was 32Q, but really enough for two.

Basically, I lived at the Samsara in Antigua for two weeks. So I was super stoked to discover the magic didn’t have to stop. The owner has such a powerful vision of what the food industry can be. He’s closing the loop and creating a zero waste model — wahooo. Plus, the food is THE VEGAN DANKNESS 🙏🙏. So many flavors and options — I’m not kidding, it’s like a vegan’s dreamland. Love this place tremendously for the high quality eats with such an inspiring mission.
