A shining star - Edit
I have used this place many times and it was also one of my first eating out vegan places in Southend. Situated right by the beach front and Chalkwell station it is a real gem of a place. Plenty of vegan options including cakes and ice cream. The blueberry croissant is absolutely amazing, especially with one of their soya lattes. Great friendly service and I cannot say a bad thing about this place. When I go on my long seafront walks I always make this a place to break for a coffee or snack. Whole heartedly recommend to veggies and vegans.

Seaside cafe - Edit
Small, bright and clean with choice of vegan meals for breakfast and lunch. Vegan burger with coleslaw slide was yummy. Glad to have stumbled across it and will be back!

Great vegan options in a beach side cafe - Edit
Very very rarely do I think this screwed up world is improving in any way shape or form! But when you go to the seaside resorts of Brexitland and discover classic beach side cafe’s like this now have extensive vegan options,.... well maybe there is hope!
Read moreNo it’s not all vegan or even all veggie but it wasn’t long ago that finding anything to eat that was not dipped in meat fat and fried by the sea was difficult.
I had a lovely homemade vegetable pasty and chips. Service was friendly, next time I will try and get there before 12 and try the vegan breakfast.

Saltwater deliciously prepares fresh vegetarian and vegan food at a very reasonable price. The menu changes regularly and they always have new vegan treat options! The vegan breakfast has definitely cured a few of my hangovers!!
