Very disappointed! Bad service! No interest in vegan needs! - Edit
They could improve things by making sure staff understand what plant based means. The waiter, Wez, told me ‘Well, you’re vegan, so you should be able to see what you can eat on the menu’ in response to me asking if anything was plant based. He then offered me goats cheese!

The main reason this cafe gets two stars is because of the location. The views are incredible.

The food is okay. I could make something better and a lot cheaper. There is not a lot of vegan options.
It is all locally sourced though, which is good.
They make mistakes. I ordered a vegan breakfast and they gave me a plate with an egg on. When i told the staff, they took away the egg and tried to give me the same plate.
The vegan breakfast is small. I don't know what to expect from a cafe, but its just sad and disappointing.

Lovely cafe in a great setting - Edit
I visited the salt shack yesterday with 3 friends for breakfast, I am a vegan and they are Vegetarian. The food was delicious, the staff were really friendly and the service was great. I will definitely be going back.

Cute shack style Cafe overlooking the marina. Tasty vegan options including vegan cake. Owner's daughter is a vegan so she is very clued up on vegan foods. Definitely will be back EVERY time I visit the island. Not allowed to give it 5 stars because the app only allows 5 stars for fully vegan restaurants otherwise it would be a definite 5 stars

Lovely service and delicious vegan food - Edit
Sat outside looking over the marina on a beautiful day. I had a lovely vegan halloumi and roast veg ciabatta, chocolate cake and a smoothie. All was delicious and staff were very friendly. Will definitely be going back!

Looks out over the water, and has heaters for a chilly day. I’ve been plenty of times here, service hasn’t always been consistent as I had the wrong food sent at one point which certainly wasn’t vegan, then she just took it and scraped the egg off my plate, I had to ask for a whole new breakfast!!
Read moreHowever this was the one and only time this happened. My only advice, don’t order one slice of toast as it’s basically day light robbery. Staff are lovely and care about reducing plastic which is always a bonus. I will go back again, as the food is delicious and the scenes are lovely especially on a summers day.

We were given a voucher for a vegan-afternoon tea here. Was all very nice to experience, good setting and a pleasant cafe. We had a small pot of oat milk with our coffee, the afternoon tea comes out with soup, dry scones and a bit of jam, hummus sandwiches. It was nice enough. the desserts could have been better, soup was nice. someone at the next table said it looked good because of tiered plates so we were very happy to explain it was all vegan! :)

This is a tiny cafe with lots of outdoor seating. Ideal for a warm day with a great view of the marina. Interesting but limited menu, as they have a counter more than a kitchen. Could do with some simpler lunch options as not much choice for my fussy kids. No bookings taken and we had a wait for food as every table was full. Nice enough that I would go there again if passing, without children.

The best place , their food is amazing, they are still fairly new but are constantly bringing more and more vegan options to the table , they’ve just started doing vegan raw cakes which are to die for and they have oatley ! Also their specials constantly change so are happy to take any ideas on board ! Yuuuuuum is all I can say
