Very tasty food - Edit
We visited Salt N Fire for lunch in November 2024 and were very impressed. It's in a food court which isn't to everyone's liking, but as food courts go it's pretty nice. There were lots of options and we settled on the Pad Kra Pao bowl and the Harissa Cauliflower. The Pad Kra Pao was great - lots of tasty tofu and a nice spicy sauce. The cauliflower was also lovely, cooked to perfection and really flavoursome. Both portions were a good size and we'll definitely go back here next time we're in Inverness.

Super tasty fresh food - Edit
Dropped in to get some takeaway food to eat on our journey home. Advised by the lovely guy taking my order to try the Empanadas, Kibbeh with hummus and crispy wontons with a side of red pepper and olive dip and flatbread. Service was quick and friendly. We weren’t disappointed- food was really tasty and good sized portions. Really nice to have interesting vegan food that I wouldn’t easily cook at home. Definitely recommend 😊

Vegan street food - Edit
This food stall is located in the Inverness Victorian market, which is a lovely building. They offer many different types of street food items such as wraps, bowls, chips and empanadas. I got the cauliflower wrap and my partner had the falafel one. They were a good size but could have done with a bit more seasoning. Overall, a good experience and would go back to try other items.

Where are the vegetables? - Edit
We ordered three different bowls and all three had almost no vegetables in them. They were very heavy on the starch and sauce. The pakoras were very flavorful. The kimchi dumplings were excellent. If I went back I would skip the bowls and get more of the small plates.

Very Filling - Edit
My partner and I visited this place after reading other happy cow reviews. It didn't disappoint. I got the miso peanut butter ramen noodles, which were very tasty. My partner also enjoyed his Pad Kra Pao. We also ordered the dirty fries but both of us were too full to eat them!

Fab wontons - Edit
Good food. Some is too hot (spicy) for me - the “Fire” part of their name comes from the chillis they use, I presume. The wontons are excellent! They’re fried crispy; I had the mixed-veg ones. I also enjoyed the Buddha Bowl and the Pad Kra Pao with its crispy tofu chunks, rice, green onions and (too many) chillis. The broad beans are good too. Great to find an all-vegan eatery in the Victorian Market!

Set in a community street food square inside the Victorian Market this small takeaway restaurant has a lot of great options. A main should be enough, but get some sides too because they are worth it.

Crowd-pleasing. - Edit
The falafel wrap was so nutritious and herby, my mum and her friend loved the T.N.T chips I ordered so much that they ordered some for themselves. My sister said her Buddha bowl was good, and the drinks were plentiful and they gave out straws for the cans.

I loved the variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious! But the experience was somewhat diminished by having a gentleman sit down next to me in the Victorian Market with some very stinky mussels from another stand.

Eclectic menu with good food - Edit
We recently ate here and were very pleased with the vast eclectic selection of the menu. There was a little bit of everything, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, English, American. The food was very good and the service was awesome. We would definitely go back.

Located right in the centre of town in a food hall. We went on a Saturday evening and there was a great buzz. The portions were large and the food was good.

Cute café in Victorian market Food hall - Edit
10 stars for service and french fries which were so hot and crisp and delicious. I got the Buddha bowl and it was very good, Chandler got the Soto Ayam bowl and loved it, both were relatively inexpensive and very filling.
Read moreThe girl behind the counter went back to the kitchen and got me some of the Chef's private salt when I wanted a little extra salt (they don't have salt packets), she was so sweet and kind and exceptional. Lovely and tasty, big portions that were rapidly served with a smile - Edit
I'd been looking forward to visiting during a day trip from Aviemore, and it was great.
Read moreSituated in corner of the food court in the Victorian Market, you order and are given a buzzer then go back to collect. A nice variety of different types and sizes of food. Our soul bowl portions were big with lots of protein.
It's wooden cutlery and disposable boxes, although the food market has food waste and recycling it doesn't really work that well so I suspect quite a lot ends up going to landfill. This isn't specific to Salt n Fire, but is the main downside.
The food was brilliant.
Pros: Good variety of tasty vegan food, Big portion, Quick
Cons: Disposable items in the whole food court

Weighty wrap and lovely loaded fries - Edit
There’s loads to choose from here, shame we couldn’t try it all. The falafel wrap was super weighty and very tasty. The loaded fries with mustard and onions were sooooo good. We were very hungry and forgot to take a picture!
