Definitely try

Much improved menu. We had corn rib starter, risotto mains and shared an excellent warm orange sponge with chocolate sauce and vegan ice cream. Very quick service. All top notch food. Tasty, warm, generous portions, Several other vegan options for mains- tacos, burritos, burger etc. I also had a delicious passion fruit mocktail. So glad I gave this place another try. I had avoided it after a crumbly gluten free burger bap on my last visit. Well done Salt. We’ll be back 👍

On the burger section there is an allotment burger. It was a fancy bun with sliced or grilled/fried Mediterranean veg and tasty red pesto. Choice of side included. When I asked which sides were vegan I was told they are in the fryer with everything else. I asked if I could have a salad. Anything as long as it was vegan and what they brought was lovely. There was a nice mustardy dressing drizzled on the top. It was a lovely contrast to the slightly oily veg in my main. The other half enjoyed the vegan burrito bowl with extra jackfruit. He had a bit of bread envy and thought it would have been better with something like rice as a base rather than lettuce. It was a cold dish. It looked colourful. The description said quinoa but we couldn’t see any. There were a few black flecks but they looked more like a few nigella seeds. Choice of plant milks with a surcharge. No starters, puddings or breakfast items were marked vegan unfortunately. Maybe they will expand with time 🤞

Nice lunch

They seem to have added a couple more vegan options to the menu now - apart from our choices I saw a spicy rice burrito/bowl, a pulled jackfruit sandwich, and a pasta dish which could be made vegan.
I had a butternut squash and leek risotto (vegan without the parmesan) with parsnip crisps and walnuts, which was delicious and a huge portion.
Mum had the panko portobello burger, with some of the best skinny fries I've ever tasted
We shared the vegan dessert - a warm chocolate orange sponge with vanilla ice cream.
Service was very good, and the place had a lively atmosphere.
Expensive, though, our 2 mains, 1 dessert, and 1 soft drink was £40.

Decent

One vegan starter - a corn dish - and two vegan mains on offer - a pulled jackfruit sandwich or a teriyaki burger. I went for the burger. The patty wasn't one I recognised so may have been made in-house. The teriyaki chargrilled portobello mushroom and red pepper on top of the burger were delicious. There was also a vegan dessert, which I didn't spot on the menu but was available behind the counter when I went up to pay so maybe worth asking your server. The food was decent overall I would say. The nicest part was probably the atmosphere with really friendly service and an open, modern restaurant space
