4* - Nice little restaurant in Nice - Edit
2024:
Read moreNot a lot to add. I tried the pine nuts and artichoke saj and it was quite good too.
2023:
First let me talk about the staff, they are very very nice people and explain the menu and the restaurant concept really well.
The food is also good, all was tasty, even if nothing was the best I've ever had or wowed me completely.
Had the hummus, the gaspacho and the saj with red pepper paste and arugula. All was tasty.
Vegan dishes are clearly pointed on the menu, which is nice (nicer would be if everything was vegan tho😄).

Lovely place to chill from the heat. - Edit
Vegan options clearly marked on the menu. We shared two dishes, the Zaatar and Baba Ganoush. The Zaatar was amazing, highly recommend it. Lovely little cafe on the corner.

Cute inviting little space - Edit
Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. I wish I’d noticed the board with specials as I would probably have chosen the soup. Had an artichoke flatbread with a garnish leaves salad. Hit the spot for a light lunch.

Amazing food! - Edit
I love the environment of being seated outside but expected a lot of people to pass. I order the artichoke.

Organic Lebanese food - Edit
Organic, vegetarian and vegan friendly place with many vegan options. It is kind of contemporary Lebanese food. There are also tradicional options like hummus, babaganush, and zaatar. I ate a dish with artichoke that was very tasty.

Kleine Portionen - Edit

Ok food - Edit
Friendly service. The incense inside was a bit too strong so we sat outside.
Read morePortions quite small and expensive. We had the plate of the day (soup, salad, zaatar flatbread) for 18.50 and the artichoke flatbread which was 15 or 16 but were still a bit hungry.
The flatbread itself was really good but we weren't so keen on the filling (it might be that we just don't like zaatar). The quinoa salad was OK but not particularly interesting.
It was a really pleasant lunch stop and I think worth a visit but we wouldn't go there a second time.

Clearly labeled vegan - Edit
The food was very good. The portions were much smaller than other restaurants in the area and the price seemed a bit high.
Read moreThe lemonade is good, but it’s carbonated lemonade. They have different flavors. Everyone at our table enjoyed the passionate fruit more than the blood orange flavor.
The hummus is tasty. I ordered gluten free Rougettes. The red pepper paste on it was very flavorful.

Great Lebanese food - Edit
The staff here are incredibly friendly and explain the menu very clearly. We ordered two flatbreads, a side salad and the gazpacho soup. All really tasty. The waitress recommended some puddings to us and we couldn’t say no! The lemon cheesecake was great but the granola pudding was exceptional. Make sure you book in august because it gets busy. Outdoor seating available.

Quite Nice! I love love loved the food. It was so refreshing and flavorful. The food was light but filling. It was a cool peaceful oasis after a hot day at the crowded beach. The staff was so kind and friendly.

Delicious and healthy vegan food made with true passion - Edit
We ate here and loved it so much we hustled right back a couple days later. The daily lunch meal combo is VEGAN and so creative and delicious and inexpensive compared to the pricey and mediocre food you get elsewhere. We had a delicious and creative soup, salad and flatbread. They even have vegan desserts and vegan frappes! The owner is clearly passionate about creative and delicious food. This is what the world needs more of….healthy vegan food made from whole plant ingredients not fake meat substitutes. I wish they would open a SAJ in California!

Hidden gem, worth visiting - Edit
Found this place by accident actually. But we were very happy that it happened. The owner was very nice and friendly to talk to. Half of the dishes were vegan and very good. My favourite was spinach flat bread and the Baba ganoush. The decorations are also something very special and worth mentioning. Check it out.

Light meals and nice staff - Edit
This restaurant specializes in lebanese flat bread with different fillings - savory and sweet. The vegan ones are clearly labeled on the menu. In my opinion, it is a good place to have a light meal and if you already explored the fully vegan restaurants. The owner is very nice and explains everything.

We love this place! - Edit
It is rare to find a menu full of amazingly tasty food. We eat vegan cuisine extensively and this is one of the best you will find. With an authentic Lebanese menu prepared with, and served with, obvious care and attention. We really liked the soups for the range and depth of flavour, the choice of wines and the incredible desserts (especially the Halva). Daniel, the host, buys food fresh from the local market daily and even grows produce on land on the local Chateau Colline.

Best vegan restaurant in Nice/South France - Edit
We had a family meal here a few days ago & absolutely LOVED it. I can’t fault the experience in any way. The restaurant is in the old town area of Nice & as soon as we stepped into the restaurant from the mid-day heat into the cool, air conditioned restaurant, we had a fantastic time. The owner, Daniel, was warm & friendly & explained the menu concept to us in fluent spoken English (we’re from the UK). We had delicious flat breads with melon gazpacho & a delicious quinoa/rocket leaves/salsa-type dish. It was original, extremely flavoursome & good sized portions. Service by all staff was efficient & friendly. The decor & ambiance was inviting & even the bathroom was clean & fresh too! Thankfully Daniel encouraged us to have desert & I’m glad we did. We shared a tiramisu cheesecake & some fig & geranium ice cream.
Read moreEverything we had was vegan. We’ve been vegan for years & have never eaten restaurant food as creative, original & delicious as this, it was obviously curated with so much care & imagination - it had Ottolenghi style vibes but more vegan options & attention to detail. For the quality of the food we had, in the location, I felt the meal was very reasonably priced. We don’t have anywhere this exciting here in London, other than French restaurant Gauthier Soho. An absolute treat to visit Saj, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. It’s also the only vegan restaurant in Nice which is open in the evenings. Well done Daniel, you have an outstanding restaurant.
