Meh. Not Great 4 Vegan

Been there twice and had some decent food, but I really question if they understand what vegan is. There are a couple options which can be made vegan on request, but you also have to ask for no butter on the naan and make sure they don't bring yogurt. There are two menus, with different markings, and it is unnecessarily confusing. I don't recommend.

Pros: Vegetable Korma

Cons: Multiple menus, Staff not educated on vegan, Weird vibe

Clearly labeled vegan options

This was my first time trying Indian food. Vegan options were clearly labeled. I started with the samosas and tried the vegan vegetable korma (vegan on request) I enjoyed everything, but prices were expensive for size of dish.

Best Bhindi Masla and Aloo gobi

My son and I love this place. Very low key and hidden gem.
We love the vegan options and always eat off the menu not at the buffet.
Papadam basket is your delicious starter!

Pros: Vegan options, Serving size, Friendliness of staff

Love the food!

The vegetarian and vegan options are amazing! My personal favourites are the vegetable samosas, the kidney beans, the chickpea masala, and the naan bread. The naan bread can be made without butter if requested. If I lived in the area, I would dine-in or get take out from there really often.

This place has good food. It's really nice that they can do the breads vegan on request. The staff seem knowledgeable about vegan options

Pros: Good food, Vegan naan

Cons: Not 100% vegan

Better than most.

I have eaten here many times and always enjoy the food and the service. While there is not a lot of vegan options, 3 main entree's, the kitchen has been very accommodating for me. I never assume anything is vegan in a mixed diet establishment. They will make their rice, naan and other breads vegan if requested. The quality of the food is excellent, the plating is attractive, and portions are generous. I highly recommend this restaurant to vegans and others.

Pros: Courteous, knowledgeable staff.

Cons: Limited vegan options.

Good restaurant

Saffron Patch is a good Indian Restaurant, not great, but worth a visit. Has a very nice vegetarian selection, more limited for vegans. Staff will accommodate if you let them know you are vegan when you order. The service can be hit and miss. And they tend to lose your reservation (never had record of a reservation both times we made one). Enjoyed the naan, Paneer Pakodas and Palak Paneer. All very yummy!

Pros: Accommodate special requests, Good food

Cons: Service is hit or miss, Lose reservations

Delicious - but be CAUTIOUS!

My friend recently visited Saffron Patch and informed her server that she is vegan. The server responded "Okay, then I'll have them make your rice without butter." That's right, the rice has butter ingredients! Be weary and order your basmati rice without it. I believe the mint chutney may also have milk ingredients, so check it out.

Otherwise, their chana masala is top notch. There are various other vegan dishes on the menu, as well as vegetable samosas. Highly recommended, as long as you double check everything!
