few options, basically diy vegan

The menu only specified vegetarian options, and I didn’t see an actual vegan dish on the menu at all. It’s simple enough to customize two or three of the dishes, and my server was very helpful and accommodating— but as a place I was told I could easily eat vegan by friends, that was not the case. I got the 5 grain bowl without eggs, and it was really tasty! But it wasn’t very much food compared to the rest of the menu.

Pros: Helpful staff , Customizable menu

Cons: Not many options , A little pricey

Could be better

I love this place as a non vegan. But as a vegan there aren’t many options. I went with the tofu scramble which was pretty bland. The potatoes were tasty though. I really like the ambiance and old house that it is in.

#norespect

So I have officially tried all the vegan options at Sabrina’s Cafe. The veggie burger fell apart instantly and wasn’t even good enough to justify its craft, only to find that it’s not even vegan (look at other reviews). The tofu scramble tastes like overcooked mushrooms and styrofoam with a side of cubes potato pulp homefries. And finally the philly cheese steak (labeled as a light meal that costs the same as every other item on the menu) served with no flavor, a side of soggy sweet potato fries and, get this, a dirty plate spiced with uncooked scrapple. No respect for cuisine much less the vegan population. Last time I’ll ever step foot in that creepy restaurant/college commons.

Pros: They let me return my meal.

Horrible experience

I ordered the veggie burger which was clearly labeled vegan. Halfway through my meal , the server informed me they the sauce contained milk and that the bun was made with butter. I felt sick. As someone who’s vegan and sensitive to lactose, to eat something that contains dairy made me emotionally and physically sick. I had informed the server beforehand that I was vegan , 3 times! Online , it states the veggie burger can be made vegan by removing the brioche bun. None of this was stated on the menu , plus the sauce isn’t vegan and nothing suggested that it would contain dairy. Unacceptable and horribly disappointed in my experience.

Cons: Misleading , Labeled options as vegan when they’re not

Amazing Breakfast

The vegan options were awesome. There were plenty of choices. I️ will definitely be coming back. We ate at the Callowhill restaurant. I️ will try Collingswood next time.
