Busy place - Edit
This restaurant is very popular and always busy. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I ordered the seitan steaks house style, but unfortunately, I found the seitan to taste a bit odd. On the bright side, I requested to swap the sweet potato chips for regular ones, and the thin-sliced chips turned out to be delicious.

what a lovely place (not for those in a hurry!) - Edit
This is a lovely and super popular place in Tomar, so be prepared to wait in line and then for food. But the atmosphere is very cozy and they're good with appetizers so if you have a conversation companion, the wait shouldn't become too long. Otherwise, you've been warned 😉

Solid vegan option always on the menu - Edit
We stopped there for lunch while in Tomar and they had 2 vegan options. The first is a permanent part of their menu, a seitan steak or tofu with caramelizes onions, rice and sweet potato and root vegetable chips. The other was a daily special (sautéed veggies today). We went with the first option with seitan. The dish is very good, cooked in a traditional Portuguese manner, and we wouldn’t mind stopping by again at that place for sure.
