Der Service allein wäre schon 5* wert; sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, haben uns alle VEGANEN Optionen erklärt, Abschied mit Handschlag und der Chef entschuldigte sich noch mal persönlich, dass das Gericht versehentlich zuerst nur vegetarisch war. Doch es dauerte nicht lang, da kam das Gericht in vegan👍🏻

Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, samt gedimmten Licht, WC ist sauber.
Tipp: Wer Koriander nicht so gern mag, sollte das vorher sagen, denn der wird gern in kleinen Fitzel überall drüber gestreut.

Amazing!!!! A must go! - Edit
Absolutely amazing in customer service and food. My partner has a severe nut allergy, and along with me being vegan eating out can be a pain but it couldn’t have been easier here. The owner came out and put us at ease and advised us. We want to eat here every night of our holiday.

the best indian Restaurant. everything was so delicious and the menu is big and was not expensive (8€!). the staff knows exactly what vegan means. many options for vegans. we were more than happy and if it would be pissible i have to give 5 stars

Great vegan dining experience with the family - Edit
Visited here based on previous good Happy Cow reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Lots of vegan options and very generous portion sizes. There were six of us and we were all vegan. All the staff were clearly aware of what this meant and offered very good explanations of food content when asked. The menu was in English and the majority of the people in the large restaurant looked like tourists but this didn’t take away from the friendly welcoming customer service. The icing on the cake was the business card we were given with our bill (and free local liqueurs)had the Happy Cow app on it!

This place is simply amazing. We ended up eating there 3 times during our 7-day holiday. There are plenty of vegetarian dishes on the menu and the staff can inform you on which ones are or can be made vegan. Even when we ordered extra drinks, many starters and side dishes, we still did not have to pay as much as we had to for a simple meal at other local restaurants. They remembered which chutneys we liked best and gave them as an extra on the house upon our next visit. They also offer a drink on the house when you ask for the bill. Even when it was really busy, the staff took their time to have an unhurried conversation with us. We saw many guests arrive by taxi which means they specifically wanted to come to this restaurant, though there were many other Indian restaurants nearby.

Incredible flavours! - Edit
The best Indian I’ve ever been! Better than tasty, more flavours than you could imagine, just sensational! Many vegan options — they know what “vegan” means. Oh, and the portions are big, you won’t leave hungry (we’ve been mountain biking all day long, therefore we’ve arrived with big appetite and still had some left overs ;-)).

Delicious Indian food - Edit
This restaurant was close to my hotel. I wouldn't normally look for Indian food in a hot country but I was tired (2:30am start) and it was close so gave it a go. Wow it was fab! The staff were excellent, good knowledge of vegan food and the food was amazing. I'm only sorry I ordered too much and couldn't finish it. Highly recommend this place for vegans and non vegans alike.

The staff here were very helpful and had a good knowledge of the menus ingredients, there were quite a selection of vegan options and plenty more for vegetarians! The only problem was there was no vegan dessert for my partner, but they were very honest when asked if they had any dairy free dessert. All round an excellent experience and we would definitely eat there again

The service, the ambiance, the papadoms, the curries... Everything was amazing in this place. I had the aubergine bhaji which was divine and had beautiful chunks of aubergine as well as mashed deliciousness. The rice was flavourful and the wholemeal roti was a nice extra. I also had a chickpea (chana) salad which was also yummy.

Excellent indian restaurant! - Edit
We have now visited two times here during our 2 week visit. I think, that the food is the probably the best indian food that I have had. I have tried the Malai Kofta and Vegetarian tandoor so far and really liked them. The service and the staff are very good and friendly. You feel really welcome and appreciated in this place! I have a week left in Funchal, and I think i will there third time. Great value.

We have eaten here several times this holiday. The food was simply delicious and cheap and the people were very friendly! My husband doesn't like too many spices, so he ordered the Vegetarian Korma, which he really loved. I was into almost everything on the vegetarian part of the menu, so tried new vegetarian / vegan options every time we ate here. A big recommendation!

At Last Excellent Vegan Food on Madeira - Edit
After 8 days on Madeira we were very hungry vegans - our only option for eating out anywhere on the island appeared to be chips and bland, tasteless salad. The Sabor da India was our saviour - after a 4 hour run in the mountains we were ravenous and they were brilliant. They guided us to vegan options on their excellent menu and steered us away from anything non vegan. The food was SO good and they really are all round lovely people. Tomorrow is our last night in Funchal and no prizes for guessing where we will be having dinner! I would definitely give 5 stars but Happy Cow won't let me - actually I'd give 6 stars possibly more.
