I had the curry with tofu which was sooo good. My partner had fried rice with chicken and also enjoyed his food a lot. The only bad thing was that I found my portion a bit small hehe. We also ordered spring rolls but they were not fried, didn’t really liked them. Maybe we should have asked in advance

The curry here was very tasty. Lots of flavours. It's also very affordable and the menu is very cool with reviews from fellow travelers. As a vegan you should definitely go here in Pak Beng!

When taking the slowboat, this is a good go to for vegans and vegetarians. We would definitely recommend the tofu curry!! The menus also contain lovely messages from previews visitors/backpackers.

Der Inhaber kann gut englisch und ein wenig deutsch. Er kann direkt sagen, was vegan gekocht werden kann, auch wenn es nicht in der Karte so steht. Es war lecker, sicher kein 10 Sterne Menu, aber dafür dass wir gedacht haben, dass wir hier niemals veganes Essen finden, wirklich toll! ☺️. Bitte eine etwas längere Wartezeit einplanen, aber in Laos ist das ja fast normal. In der Zeit kann man die Zeit dazu nutzen des Mekong anzuschauen.

I had the Laos curry and it was devine! There was no spice but it had such a lovely flavour with lots of veggies! Owner speaks great English and will tell you which dish can be made vegan. I didn’t think I would be able to eat anything in such a small place, so this is a hidden treasure!

Best food in Laos so far - Edit
We came here after a couple leaving who had just eaten aid how good it was. We had both had the Lao curry which you could add multiple things to. We had tofu, cashews and vegetables which also came with rice. Really really enjoyed it and was genuinely the most flavoursome food I’ve eaten in Laos. Would definitely recommend.

Man kann hier meisten Gerichte mit Tofu bestellen. Der Besitzer spricht sehr gutes Englisch und ist total freundlich. Wir wollten ursprünglich nur 2x Laap mit Tofu (Nationalgericht) essen, auf seine Empfehlung hin haben wir dann stattdessen 1 Laap und - Curry genommen. Haben es nicht bereut! Super leckeres Curry, beides würden wir definitiv wieder bestellen.

Lovely little place with hand drawn menus and family run. The owner speaks English and understands veganism. We got a nice curry and a noodle dish with tofu and veg. Delicious and loved the fried onions on top. Couldn’t see any other restaurant offer tofu, just vegetable based dishes

I recommend the Laos Tofu Curry! I would give it a 5/5 if I could. Comes with rice and no need to pay extra.
