Authentic Italian, tasty pasta! - Edit
Great to find this spot out of the busy square in Wells overlooking cathedral, so great to sit outside when weather is nice!
Read moreAglio olia was delicious, I can't remember the last time I saw this on a menu and was delighted! The foccacia and olives also very tasty, with another couple of pasta dishes and a pizza available.
Would love to see even more options!

Really great food - Edit
Lovely restaurant with views of Wells Cathedral. Amazing home made Focaccia with olives for starter. Choice of 3 pasta dishes or vegan pizza. I had the spaghetti puttanesca and it was absolutely beautiful. No vegan deserts on the menu but I didn’t ask if they could offer anything as was too full from the generous main. Will definitely be going back.

Simple yet delicious - Edit
I have never had a decent AOP (aglio, olio, peperoncino) outside of Italy before, and certainly not in the UK. But my sixth sense (usually wildly wrong) told me to order it here, with linguiine, and I wasn't disappointed. It takes real skill to make something this simple so delicious. The wine was a Tuscan sangiovese, and that wasn't bad, either.

Authentic Italian food with a view - Edit
Rugantinos serves a few vegan pasta dishes and a pizza as well as a couple of starters. Their focaccia is some of the best I’ve tasted, as good as anything I’ve had in Italy. The pizza was also excellent with olives, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and vegan cheese. If the weather is good you can eat outside with a view of the cathedral. The place has a grown up and sophisticated atmosphere.

Amazing food. Attentive staff. Lots of vegan options - Edit
Amazing food. I was torn what to have. The homemade focaccia with olive oil and balsamic was divine. I decided on a pizza in the end which was the best vegan one I’ve tasted. The staff were friendly and attentive and let us in early as my mother in law was struggling with her hip. I would definitely highly recommend
